OK so im considering scrappingmy current setup of 2 x gtx 260's and just going with either one of these cards.
Iwill hopefully be able to sell my current cards for around £200 together and so leaving me with only having to put £50 towards a 5850, should i go with that.
However i was wondering is it worth putting more money towards it so i can get a 5870 or is better off to save my money and then possibly overclock the 5850 later?
Thanks
5850's OC really well with over voltage, but so do 5870s. Either choice is fool proof.... adding a 5850 or another 5870 for crossfire later would both be extremely awesome.Unfortunately, he's got a 750i chipset, so CF is out of the question unless he swaps out the mobo.
ah shucks, hmm might just have to stick with my current setup then :/ or save for a 5970 lolOK so im considering scrappingmy current setup of 2 x gtx 260's and just going with either one of these cards.

What would you say are bad mobo temperatures?
And at what temperature can it get damaged?
Thanks
ok so i increase my fsb with auto voltages and can get a stable overclock to 1199 fsb - about 2.7ghz. so then i bump it to 1200 and BOOM no system startup, i have also tried 1220 and 1240 but still get the same result.
why can i not get past 1199?
is it my cpu or mobo that is to blame?
i have googled this problem put no one seemed to have a successful solution. just wondered if you guys could help. ive had bad experiences fiddling with voltages in the past so dont really want to experiment with them all over, i just want to see how far i can get with auto as some people report having gotten to 3.0ghz on auto.
thanks
