[QUOTE="Blackbond"][QUOTE="yo_foo"][QUOTE="Blackbond"][QUOTE="yo_foo"]hint: this thread is about MGS4 will be more successful than GEOW2. We don't discuss SSBB here. Besides i don't think SSBB will move as many consoles seeing as the people who want the game have got wiis already.

yo_foo
And the people who want MGS4 don't already have PS3s? Where do you find these facts?
Nice to see you again Blackbond.
MGS4 gives people who have held off on buying a PS3 a golden opportunity to purchase the console because it is one of its marquee games. The fact of the matter is: MGS4 couldn't have come at a better time for Sony. With Blu Ray winning the format war, people will have no doubts in their minds of upgrading to a PS3 for MGS4.
:'(
So why doesn't GEOW2 give people who've been holding off on a 360 a golden opportunity to purchase a 360?
So why doesn't SSBB give people who've been holding off on a Wii a golden opporutnity to purchase a Wii?
Why is it that everyone who already wants GEOW2 and SSBB has already bought a Wii or 360 and is just waiting for the game while that is not the case for MGS4?
Why are people going to buy consoles for MGS4 but not buy consoles for SSBB and GEOW2?
Your reasoning is hypocritical. What's to stop me from saying that MGS4 won't move consoles because everyone who wants it already has a PS3? I mean thats what you are saying with SSBB and GEOW. That everyone who wants it already has a 360 or Wii.
1) GEOW2 will only appeal to those who have already got GEOW1. Therefore won't sell many consoles.
2) SSBB will not move consoles because everyone pretty much got a wii for SMG and that appeals to SSBB fans.
3) MGS4 is the first huge marquee game on the PS3. Because Resistance, albeit was a fantastic game, was not a sequel or anything like that, it wasn't really a marquee game. one that the general public know will be amazing. But these people would have held off getting a PS3 until it gets released. It truly is a mover of consoles. You fail to realise that people who want to play GEOW2 will have already bought a 360 for Gears 1!!!
:'(
Well, that doesn't mean that the sequel to Gears of War isn't going to transcend five million copies.
