hey everyone. ive been playing around with some of my games today and ive always noticed that some of them offer antialiasing in some form. now i know that AA makes the defined edges of objects appear less jagged but im also aware that it can be a bit of a drain on a GPU's resources make it work harder etc. ive been trying to decide for myself if its worth me using AA or not but i honestly cant decide. so in your opinion is it worth using AA when playing games at the 1360X768 resolution or not? i cant go any higher then that. any thing higher and bits of my HUD get cut off when im playing a game (like in stalker clear sky the warning lamps for burns radiation and psych damage all get cut off).im using a GTX 280 with duo core processes at 3.0 ghz. thanks for the input.

in my experience the begginning of this game is a real test. on my first time through the swamp I had to take down a position controlled by 15 enemy renegades and no reinforcements in sight. "screw it" I thought so i dashed in to cover and let loss with my hunting rifle. 10 minutes 7 dead renegades and all my med kits and bandages later I thought "reload this isnt going well im gonna bleed to death" then i saw my reinforcements come to help so i grabbed a bandage off the nearest renegade corpse and just hid til it was all over. then i scavanged all the bodies equipment and upgraded to newer weapons and armour giving it kevlar plating for extra protection. i guess im saying lol if you push on and let the game draw you in you will have huge amounts of fun as I am. :)

I thought that STALKER CS had pretty good graphics. If you turn the textures and effects all the way up with antialiasing and full shadows and everything with a high resolution, the game looks amazing, and if you want you can download a graphics mod from gamespot or fileplanet. the game is really pretty, its not crysis, but its still pretty.lpjazzman220
yeah clear sky looks rather good once its maximised with DX10.

[QUOTE="DGFreak"][QUOTE="_Pedro_"][QUOTE="IMaBIOHAZARD"] um...what? That doesn't make much sense. As in, it won't be canon?

it's supposedly going to be even more dumbed down than invisible wars...

Bingo. Auto-regenerating health and a cover system, as well as a total lack of rpg elements.

ah geez : / JC denton must be spinning in his grave ...provided he died some how
