Ive just been looking over my pc and ive noted that it has 4 fans (5 including the PSU fan). their are two fans on either side of the casing bring in cool air one on the rear expelling hot air and another one taking in cool air on the front. when I look inside the casing all the components are place in such away that airflow is not an issue. none the less im still worried about this new pc over heating. ive never experienced it before but this is my first gaming pc and I realise its gonna get hot in there. now I dont intend to OC the GPU or processers to enhance its performance but I would like to know if I should increase the fan speed to help take in more cool air. where I live isnt very hot at all the unit itself is gets plenty of air around to all the vents but id still like an opinion. thanks in advance.
when i check in device manager tho theres no mentiong of a dvd/cd drive there are disk drives enabled and things but nothing like dvds mentioned. I think the hardware is properly connected and everything the thing is getting power and all. could it be a driver issue?
oddly enough when im reading the tests conducted on it I know when it was being tested that the drives worked due to the testers using games framerates to show performance so ive no idea whats happening.
if it helps ive not been online with it yet so im not sure if I have to register the product or something to activate the drives. ive tried using windows media and power dvd but nothing happens or when i try to click the play button it says no dvd recognised. does it sound like a send back job?.
I got a new pc today and everything seems to be in working order with the expection of the disc drive. it just doesnt recognise anything I put in it wether it be a cd or dvd. im using an LG - 20X Dual Layer DVD RW CD-RW Writer that should be able to read cds dvds right?
my new pc was meant to have arrived here for xmas time but hasnt been delivered yet. im excited but the wait is just sapping the fun out of my days drawing them out making me very aware of the fact its not here yet but its close to being here with each passing day.
