What Xbox games will I get this year....

It was a question on a forum and I had a big/good answer so I copied and posted it...

Since most of my extra money will go simply to the actual system (I know, shame on me for taking so long to realize 360 is the system of the gen) I will probably only get Dead or Alive 4, Guitar Hero III, Guitar Hero II, Crash of the Titans, (possibly) BioShock, (possibly) Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal, and (possibly) Assassin's Creed.

However, next year I will probably get Def Jam: Icon, Soul Calibur IV, NBA Street: Homecourt, Tony Hawk's Proving Grounds, The Simpson's Game (if it's not movie-based), Need for Speed: ProStreet, Grand Theft Auto: IV, Virtua Fighter 5, Fallout 3, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, (possibly) Spider-man: Friend or Foe, maybe a few more, some games I missed on the original Xbox, and (if I don't get them this year) BioShock and Assassin's Creed. Oh yeah, The Last Remnant whenever it is released.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well now that I'm at it let's do PS2, Gamecube, and DS.

PS2: This year: Soul Calibur III

Next Year: God of War II, Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Power Rangers:Super Legends (ONLY if I seesome decent reviews because I love the old Power Rangers),and the Possibles are The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night and the Prince of Persia games.

Also a slim version of the PS2 as soon as my current one seems faulty

---------------------------------------------

GC: Next Year: Probably just the ones on the Gamecube section in the wishlist (2 blogs back).

---------------------------------------------------------------------

DS: Next Year: Mario Kart DS, Metroid Prime: Hunters, and (possibly) Star Fox DS or something I haven't decided on yet...

-------------------------

NES/SNES: I wouldn't mine getting a game or two more for it next year....

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

There is some of those I might not get (for a while or at all)because of the reviews or lack of teh mulah.

BTW plz still read my previous blog because I would like some replies on it....it's a good topic IMO.

The Rock Invasion (of Video games)?

This is a part from Wikipedia's info on Guitar Hero:

Activision and RedOctane have also trademarked the titles "Guitar Villain" and "Drum Villain" as well as "Keyboard Hero", "Drum Hero" and "Band Hero".[6] Analysts expect that future Guitar Hero games in 2008 will include additional instrument peripherals to compete against Rock Band.[7]

OMG, is it true? lol I can't wait to see this happen.

Oh yeah, another thing: I read in Xbox magazine where someone suggested a Rock version of EA's musical brawler (known as Def Jam Vendetta). I think this is brilliant, just imagine kicking Marylin Manson's ass with Jimi Hendrix.

So what do you guys think about all the possible rock n' roll themed video games?

EDIT

"Diamnz"-rock band is gonna have not just a guitar"

Uhh, yeah. I know, but since you brought that up...It doesn't make any since to make Band Hero and all that other crap. They should stick to guitar only, that way the people that don't want to pay the extra money can just stay with the basics. I posted this in the Guitar Hero forum and what one guy said makes sense, he said they probably just copyrighted those so that other companies wouldn't steal it. I wouldn't mine having Guitar Villian though, they could make it where Guitar Hero has mostly Soft and clasic rock and Guitar Villian could have heavy metal songs and if you have save files for both you can unlock bonus track, characters, guitars, etc.

Well what do y'all think about the Rocker Vendetta idea?

PS3 vs. Wii60

Now that Microsoft has lowered the price of their pro Xbox360 system to $350 customers can now get the Nintendo Wii + Xbox 360 for the same price as the Playstation 3.

Last gen I owned a PS2 and a GameCube, and I played a little Xbox at friends' houses. With the announcemts of the new gen ( a while back) I immediately wanted the PS3 and the Wii, until I saw the price of the PS3 and the rarity of the Wii. I have only considered the 360 a few times. I have owned both the PSone and PS2 and loved both, but I think I might stray from Sony's home console for a while.

Now I'm wondering if I should just save and save (and maybe same some more) just for the PS3, or should I go for the 360 and the Wii later, but there are a few thing I would miss on the PS3 (that I want): Tekken 6, Heavenly Sword, and that's really all I can think of now. But if I got the PS3, there is a whole lot of things I would miss: All the Nintendo exclusives, the few Xbox exclusives I want, and the Wii-mote. But if I did go for Wii60 I would still be able to play most of the big games: Soul Calibur IV, Sports games, etc.

Another plus of the 360 is that I could still play ports of the PS3 games on the PSP (that I'll get next month), and I would be able to go next gen a lot sooner.

So should I go for Wii60 (have the chance of 360 games, original Xbox games I missed, Wii games, PS3 ports on PSP, PS1/PS2 games, and DS/Wii compatibility) or PS3 (PS3 games, PSP/PS3 ompatibility, and PS1/PS2 games)?

P.S. Please give unbiased (non-fanboy) answers.

Sega Dreamcast? N64?

I've noticed these are both available for around $40 on Amazon, and I was wondering if they were worth it. I used to be a major Sony Fanboy (from the day I got my PS for Christmas), and I always disliked both even though I never played much of either. So I was wondering if each one was worth it, or should I just get remkes of the game? BTW before I buy eithe maybe I should check if my cousins still have either when I go down to their house next week (they used to have both but they basically feed their systems to their closet when they get a new one lol).

Sorry...

Sorry to everyone on my friend list. I tried sending invites to the unionI just made and it said error. So, I kept doing it. Apparently it sent the invitation several times. I am so, so sorry! Please don't let this change your mind about the union or me.

The top 5 reasons you want -blank-/What will you play before you upgrade

I just wanted to know the Top 5 reasons you want/own a new-gen system.

I want PS3 for-Tekken, PSP compatibility (I'm going to geta PSPsoon), SCEA games (especially Heavenly Sword), Blu-Ray looks cool (not so much for the movies but for the graphical possibilities), and Online (which I never did last gen).

I want Wii for- exclusive games (especially MP3 and SSBB), (obiously) the Wii-mote, once again the online, it will be fun to play with my family, and (I guess) the VC.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My second question is what will you play before you (if you haven't already) upgrade to new-gen?

Me, I want to play a lot of PS2 and GC games that I haven't bought yet (especially GC because I have only had it like 2 years and only have like 6 games). The games I know for sure I will get are MP2, GOW2, DBZ:BT3, GH:III:LOR, SC:III, and a lot of Mario games I haven't had a chance to play yet (if you don't know what any of those abbreviations are for, just ask). I also plan on getting the Silver PSP, some PSP games, and some DS games. So I will probably get PS3 in about year and a half, and the Wii in about 2 1/2- 3 years.

Least Favorite Part of Games

I want to talk about something that irratates and frustrates me extremely. Games that don't have an auto-save feature. My example is Metroid Prime. Today I played Metroid Prime for about an hour, the whole time I was forgetting to go to the save stations. I got to a pretty hard part and boom, boom, BOOM......"Would you like to start from your last save?". OMG!!!!!!! NOOO!!!!I had wasted an hour!!! Now I have to do it all over again (with saving every possible chance, of course)! DAMN!

Has anyone else had this happen to them? Do you feel like throwing the effin controller?!? lDo you feel like quitting video games all together!?!?!? Well, that was a little dramatic, but I mean....Damn....lol....

I quit...

I'm quitting gamespot. It made me waste a good chunk of my summer, and I hate that. So I'm changing my password to something random I can't remember, and I'll never get on again.
