To think of a card worse suited to playing crysis it is surprising how far back I have to go. Back beyond teh X800s... back to a time when teh Voodoo cards existed... Please do not get this card. Its almost a crime. And never believe, regardless of any sales pitch, that it will have a hope of playing crysis. To play crysis the way it deserves to be played it needs an 8800 or yet to be released ATI equivelent. If money is a problem get a job or a second job and save

Gun had a good story and a pretty good combat system. Rather linear though, but so are most westerns.

"Halo Wars" is the next big real-time strategy game from Ensemble Studios, creators of Age of Empires. Designed exclusively for the Xbox 360, "Halo Wars" allows you to take charge of the human UNSC armies and see the Halo universe from a totally new perspective. "Halo Wars" takes place before Halo 1 during the UNSC's first deadly encounters with the Covenant. Players will lead the crew of the UNSC's "Spirit of Fire" from initial skirmishes to an all out war against the evil Covenant. Warthogs are cool. Scorpions are cool. Controlling lots of Warthogs and Scorpions and sending them into battle is really, really cool.

We've been big fans of Halo for years at Ensemble Studios, and when we sat down to discuss our next project we thought Halo would be absolutely perfect as an RTS on the Xbox 360. Halo Wars is for the Xbox 360 exclusively.XBSHX

Can you believe this? Sometimes, I can't believe Mircrosoft. First Halo 2 on the Xbox, years later on the PC, and then only on Vista (understandable, even).

But an RTS on a console?

It looks like they are going to great lengths to make sure they can milk the franchise for all it is worth- even eliminate some of the parts of a RTS that make it just that: a RTS.

"Halo Wars" was created for the Xbox 360 from the ground up, which meant we didn't have to make compromises or shoe-horn in artifacts from a Windows PC game. We were able to take all the best aspects of RTS games, make them work perfectly on the Xbox 360, and exclude the rest.

Does anyone seriosuly think that it could possibly work out well at all?

who really cares, microsoft trying to milk halo by putting a decent dev team on a crappy game/idea... Ensemble should stick with the AOE games, maybe get the gameplay right this time and worry less about graphics.

Ensamble lost it when they made AoE3. They took all that was fun in AoE2 and stamped on it. I like Halo, it would make a good RTS, it is a pity that all this bullsh*tting and system wars gets in the way from making a good game.

I care little about the loss of Halo wars. Its a going to be a mediocre RTS made by a mediocre developer. I mean sure, they did good in the past, age of kings was the best. AoE3. That game was rubbish and painful to watch. I don't lknow many people who played beyond the 1st act of the campain. If Halo wars playes like AoE3 did I am glad that it wont be on the PC.

I doubt this is real. By a long way. I don't think nVidia have out performed cards like that since the Voodoo 2. And I doubt ATI would let that happen. More importantly I doubt AMD would let their investments latest card suck like that when they care so much about performance.

You should get atleast 128 mb graphiccard or 256, and another 512 mb ram should be good.

jorgeluisbl

thanks and all but have u read what i said? i shouldn't need what u said cos the game runs so slow that you would think i was running them on minimum/below minimum specs. plus my computer beats the minimum by at leat twice and 3 times the ram

Then if you want to play the game get a new PC, and if you want to play future games aou should also buy a good PC.

Don't penalise him for not having the most up to date rig. Its not fair. Have you tried patching it? Perhaps a driver issue? If those are OK then its rather confusing indeed.

Its looks good but I'm still kind of meh. I may pick it up when I eventually upgrade but Halo has always felt mediocre to me. The guns just aren't fun to shoot when compared to any game I've played. Now give me Halo story with Quake's guns, then you've got me sold.

Get a card with an Express suit and you can get an Asus box that lets you put a desktop card into a laptop. Its not, 100% portable, but its much more than your desktop.

Get a good work laptop, with a 7700 or something like an Asus G1, then you can put the box in when you want DX10.
