CoD2, Warcraft 3, World of Warcraft, Civilization 4+expansion and the sims all have a Mac counterpart, but you will have to buy the Mac version of them (with the exception of Warcraft 3). Not much goes onto a Mac in terms of games, but what does tends to be pretty good. Edit: I forgot to mention Doom 3, Quake 4, Prey, Starwars empire at war, hell, just look up "Mac games" on google and you'll see them.

[QUOTE="balancebalance"]I made a list of console games that I would love to play on the pc.
GEARS OF WAR
Call of Duty 3
Burnout Revenge
Dead Rising
Lost Planet
Ninja Gaiden Black
Bully
Saints Row

So thats all I can think of right now
Please feel free to continue the list It can also be games that will be coming out soon.

gam3r3OOO

PCWii ftw...! After all the good 360 games get ported anyway. And the resolution on Lost Planet on the PC is beyond "true HD" with a resolution of 2560x1600 "makes the console war's "True HD" sound like a marketing slogan" (joystiq)

I was initially gonna get an Xbox 360: PC (games with mods), 360 (more expensive games but cheaper system).

Continuation of your list:

GTA IV (most definately)

MGS 4 (it will eventually happen PS3 fans: "oh noooos" Microsoft: "360 ftw" Nintendo: "our games don't get ported to the PC")

Rainbow Six Las Vegas

Ghost Recon

Ghost Recon 2

R6:Vegas is already a PC game

The PC gaming industry made 3.7 billion dollars last year. However this is dwarfed by the 10 billion or so consoles made. So yeah it makes money, but not as much as consoles.

Trying to stop piracy is like trying to stop a train going over 200 miles per hour. You just can't. grabeh
To stop a train going at 200miles an hour you just need an apposing force of 463,491,072,000,000 newtons or an object that would require 463,491,072,000,001 netwons to move, assuming the train is the same weight as the 400 metric tonne First great Western train. In the same way even piracy can be countered. It would be hard, but it can be.

I remember cossacks. The unit cap in that game was as many houses as you could build. But cossacks 2 was such a dissapointment... Of course it isn't really fair comparing Cossacks, as sprite based game based in a time when everything wsa either on land or on sea to Supreme commander, as fully 3D game which has land sea and air, coupled with vast, vast maps.

Having played on both (I have the Sony and my friend has the Samsung) I believe that the Samsung is better. Dont get me wrong the sony is a great choice. However the Samsung is better designed (I almost broke the 32" bravia as I tried to turn it on and nearly pulled it off teh mantlepeice. Who puts the on button on top of the TV?) and has a more stylish look to it. It mainly comes down to money and the Samsung is a lot cheaper. If you had a PS3 that would be different as Sony products go well together, but for a 360 the Samsung is great.

Personally I see nothing wrong with the £30 I pay a year. It works out to about £2-3 a month. Thats about half of what MMO players tend to spend per game and considering I have about 12 games thats only 20 pence per game per month. A good deal i reckon. Plus there are all the downloads demos movies arcade games and so on. If you aren't happy with the service go puy a PS3/Wii and be happy with that.
