[QUOTE="0Neo0"]Valve is just milking the source engine. Look for one more episode after this, and then thats it for Half life 2.

Either that, or they're continuing to push new ideas in the niche market of digital distribution.
...and the Steam engine has clearly been upgraded since Half-Life 2. It still looks great and runs perfectly, so why should they bother making a new engine?
I agree. The Engine is fine, and CSS is the most popular Shooter to date. I think people are complaining because they are getting tired of the half life 2 series and what it has to offer.
I don't think a new engine is necessary for a long time. The Source engine is still going strong, and with the release of the orange box it just shows what it can do.
Haven't been any great RTS games for a long time. The last great RTS game I've played is RoN. Dune 2 was also great, would like to see a good sequel to that oneADG_
Yeah they havent come out with any old school rts style games since RON.
I guess you can count AOE 3, but not really.
[QUOTE="0Neo0"]They both are great games from which they came. Half life for pc only. Halo for console only.
I was watching this guy play halo 2 on the pc with a xbox 360 controller, and I was like what the hell?! LOL
Anyway they both have their downfalls. Halo has a terrible story, and Half life 2 is very depressing to play.

Halo has a terrible story? I'm sorry but that's just bs. In comparison to other FPS games halo's story is definitely one of the better ones.
Oh yeah its really interesting to play as a futuristic cyborg that has no personality at all, and you don't remember that halo 2 ending? You're right its probably not a terrible story as I claim it to be, but it's boring.
There are a lot of games on steam now a days. You can try Company of Heroes Opossing fronts or Medieval Total War if you like Rts. Civ 4 if you like turn based.
For RPG you can try Oblivion or Jade empire special edition. I really liked both of those games.
He means are you a limited user on your computer or the Admin.
Quake 4 is a buggy game sometimes. Make sure you patch it up, and try reinstalling if that dosent work.
