No x86 Windows? You had better go tell MS, quickly :)
As for your second sentence, you didn't even manage to make sense...

was that a joke or? The app. part too. Maybe if you mean what comes on it, but you can download things way better than it.Gamerman12362
I find that the applications on the Mac are way better than anything found on the PC, a few mods agree with me on that as well. ;)
But the truth is that NWN and BG2 are very old. They're not worth mentioning.
Gamerman
That is irrelevant, you said there weren't games on Linux, and there are.
[QUOTE="Vandalvideo"][QUOTE="Coyo7e"][QUOTE="SpruceCaboose"]PC = Personal Computer.
If its yours and its a computer, its a PC.

It is misleading when it comes to games, though. It gets old talking about the number of PC gamers out there when we all know that just because someone runs a game on their PC every now and then it does not make them a gamer.
It is the generic gaming platform.
So are you indirectly rebuting the 260 million online PC gamers as stated by the PCGA?Yes, I am. I play PC games on a weekly basis. I play most recent PC games with the exception of games my current rig can't run. I am a PC gamers. I play CoH Sins of a Solar Empire and so on, but this is not a current gen PC. Where does that fit in?
I mean, people are not posting on their toasters here.
The PC is beyond trivial "generations." ;) The fact that it doesn't follow the same criteria as a console doesn't negate that it's a platform that people play on.
I get what you're saying, it's not like it's okay to say that your preferred gaming platform is consoles when talking about a library of games. Then again though, there's like 2 mac full retail games and then what Bungie made a while back, and is there even a linux game?Gamerman12362
There are many Mac games, most of em' came out in the 90s though. That doesn't matter since Macs aren't made for gaming anyway, they're for those who like to code and use it's superior applications. ;)
And games are constantly being made compatible for linux like Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate 2.
[QUOTE="astor47"]Mac it's not a PC durrr.
AnnoyedDragon
The OS is the biggest difference between the two; in terms of what they are made up of they are not that different, Mac just designs its hardware to be less configurable.
Mac is essentially a Personal Computer so...

No it's the PC platform smart one.
*This thread only applies to those who game on the x86 Windows platform with games made specifically for it.*
95% of you game on the x86 Microsoft Windows platform.farrell2k
Here is the crux of your argument...there is no such thing as an x86 Windows Platform. ;) There is, however, an x86 architecture which is directly tied to the processor, in fact, it IS the processor. :lol:
This processor has been the de facto CPU since the early 90s, possibly the late 80s. Your logic that because Windows is coded on this architecture that it's the PC platform is the same as saying that OSX or Linux is the "PC Platform" as well. You fail hard.

19 posts in a year, look what you made me do. :shakeshead:
I'm seriously excited for this. I loved Doom 3 and I hope they continue with that formula of scaring the be-jesus out of ya. Also, I don't understand why they can't make the PC version have more graphical options while locking the console versions at a specfic graphical level.
I'm sure the game won't look bad but I want Doom 4 to really test the new power of the PC.
[QUOTE="0gh3r"][QUOTE="Freaky_Friday00"]I'm still rolling out of my chair :lol: As to Sony fans resorting to hyping games like Wipeout HD at this point:lol:Freaky_Friday00
My sides are hurtin' pretty bad at your feeble attempt to make the Xbox 360 look good! :lol: You bring up all those games and they are nothing but complete embarresments to the gaming world with their cliche plots, overdone gameplay elements, lack of innovation, and the stalest gaming experience you'll find outside of the Amiga. ;)
What is more, I just can't believe that you're comparing the Xbox 360 to the PS3 which has little to NO library of games. It's like comparing George Foreman to a pale-faced cancer victim. If this is your idea of making the Xbox 360 out to be the best console then I HAVE to conclude epic fail on your slop-headed ass. :)
:shock:
:roll::roll::roll::lol::lol::lol::shock::shock::shock: Did you just claim that the 360 has no game libery and the PS3 has a better game libery :roll:
:lol::lol::lol: LMAO OMG you just made all you fellow Sony buddies disown you for FOOLISHNESS :lol:
PS3 still after 1 1/2 has no AAA game at that :lol: to funny.
I hope your kids get a better education then you. ;)
