I'm getting the issue as well and my networking/computing setup is flawless so it's definately something wrong with the game.

Just wait for a patch or....the full game.

I played the Singleplayer portion of the demo for about an hour and spent about 30mins in coop multiplayer and IMHO I think this game is going to get boring and frustrating very quickly. Here's my reasons:

1. The first 45mins of singleplayer left me with an "OMFG THIS GAME IS AWESOME" attitude, however the last 15mins was when I realized that I have probably just experienced everything that this game has to offer in terms of gameplay, aside from some different locations.

2. I could see how this could be a fun game to play online with friends, however the reality is that you're not always going to be able to play with like minded players, when you're not playing with friends you're more than likely going to be teamed up with douchebags who all have different agendas. Some will want to rush through, others will want to use teamwork but will go crazy at newcomers or people who mess up. Which sucks because you can't just switch to the other side and start owning them, you have to play alongside them for an entire campaign, or keep searching for a game with some different personalities.

3. There isn't any sense of competition and satisfaction in the multiplayer. You don't get the same satisfaction from constantly killing the same AI enemies as you do from killing actual players online, so there is no bragging rights to be had. That being said, you CAN play against other player controlled zombies but it's only 4v4 which is incredibly dissapointing and a serious sign of a game that was designed with consoles in mind.

4. The gameplay isn't designed with player clans in mind.

5. There isn't enough meat to keep the average FPS player hooked for more than a few weeks. Killing AI zombies will get pretty old and repetitive.

Oh FYI, this isn't an RTS game. It will be the same as Kingdom Under Fire 1 on the Xbox (One of the best games for the system). It's a 3rd person action RPG with strategy elements that puts you in the role of a commander of an army, the gameplay revolves around you and your troops pitted against other armies in large scale skirmishes.

The most recent title that is similar to this game is Ninety Nine Nights on the Xbox 360.

Go check these games out if you liked the look of this trailer.

I must say that when I first finished HL2 I didn't expect to be sitting here 4 years later with still no clue about which direction the story line will go.

I couldn't give a damn about how the game turns out, hell I might not even open the box when I buy it, I just want this historic game for my collection.

Glad to see that development team have kept a positive outlook on things, his comment "I'm just happy people actually want to play our game at all!" really sums up how passionate they must be. You never hear the big corporations saying things like that, for them, gaming is all about making money whereas for the World of Goo team, it's clearly about making great games.

I currently play EQ2 ultra casually because after trying pretty much every western MMO EQ2 is the only one that "imo" justifies it's monthly subscription. It's the only MMO that succesfully delivers an actual mature and indepth experience. EQ2 has mind boggling depth that is rewarding to any player who really wants to dig deep and get something out of it, unlike World of Warcraft where mostly everything is shallow.

I always found it hilarious in WoW that players would go to extreme lengths to "try" and min/max there characters with a combat and gear system that has absolutely 0 depth whatsoever. WoW players like to think that the combat system is deep, but it's honestly a shallow pond compared to EQ2.

Im a Mac owner. I have bootcamp, but i dont like it. So heres the thing: Where are the Mac games??? I mean I got NWN2 and Fable TLC but I mean, where's Left 4 Dead? And Tomb Raider Underworld? Dragon Age Origins? Seriously. I think that, If Aspyr and others had a little more effort they could make loads of cash by making a mac Gears. Is there any other Mac loser out there who agrees?A-l-g-r-e-n

Go get Spore!

All game reviews should be taken as a grain of salt, however pre-release game reviews are notoriously biased, to push sales.
