Infinity Ward's games don't push tons of polygons or have massive texture draws.... id's do. id relies on the GPU. Why should they hold the 360s GPU back for the sake of the PS3? And it isn't like it makes sense to write to completely different renderers for the two platforms, that is cost prohibitive. The RSX simply can't keep up with the Xenos. So, it falls behind and has a lower FPS. That is just the way it works...

Is that a big enough sandbox game for ya (which just for the record Rockstar claimed it could have looked completely different if it wasnt for the high compression due to space limitations by the 360). Well, surprise surprise game looks exactly the same on BOTH consoles. Once again you have absolutely no point whatsoever. History has proven that developing for the 360 then porting away to the PS3 ALWAYS messes up the PS3's final product. It's been done and said numerous times. On the other hand, developing the same game by 2 separate teams for some very odd reason it almost ALWAYS looked completely and entirely identical.

In general, their entire engine is designed to be GPU-bound. Same as with most of id's other engines... Not really anything to do with him being unable to program for the PS3, just that his methods and habits aren't necessarily ideal for PS3 development... He is just VERY good at doing things his way. And his way makes use of a Forward Renderer that is highly optimized and able to push out tons of polygons and textures... So, no, it isn't at all surprising that the Xbox 360 is the superior platform for the engine. Because no matter how much PS3 fanboys want to insist that the Cell processor can do GPU tasks, it can't. It can do some nice post processing and assist the GPU on certain things, but it quite simply doesn't act as a second GPU. That is why the RSX is there to begin with... The RSX is needed to do the rendering. The Cell can augment that, but it cannot do that job nearly as well as PS3 fanboys want to believe...

Also, anything below 30fps is unplayable, he's either on microsoft's roll or he just cant program.

Does it really look like a Commodor64 game to you?! jeez Please name one game that looks better than this. I have a 15000$ rig and I've seen Crysis at it's best...but it hardly attracts the eye like this. The boss fights are simply phenomenon IMO.

Errr...1500 :P $15,000 on a Computer!? Dang do you have money to spend or something. Personally I would of used that for college, or a car, maybe even a down payment on a house.
