The new one is matte black to match the color of the new slim which is also matte black. As long as they work for any model I have no complaints.

Okay let tell you a quick fix for you dilemma. If you still have your old controllers just swap out the guts, now dont go crazy with itand only use this power for good. Like returning it to Walmart or Gamestop for example. :D
I believe the Wii has reached over saturation in Japan. So if Sony can pump out good games and market them correctly the can sale a boat load in Japan.
people have been saying this since last year and the Wii still sells around 15k-20k a week in japan
ever since the official announcement about the slim everything is being tailored for that model. There changing the game case layout replacing PLAYSTATION 3 with PS3 and the new startup. This probably doesnt bug some ppl but it feels almost like us phat owners are now the owners of a obsolete ps3 models sony is trying to forget about as they pretend the ps3 slim is the true start to this gen. It feels almost like being taunted for having the old ps3 as everthing is slim this slim that now.

They changed the font so it stands out better in ads and on the game boxes. If you think back to multiplate ads the Playstation logo was so tiny it was hard to distinguish it from the other consoles.
