i just realised... halo1 the crosshair is centred... in halo2 and 3 its on the lower part of the screen.. so thats why it feels so different :p and btw, the fact that halo3 has HDR, parralax maps and realtime soft shadowing puts it leagues ahead of halo2 graphically already... or maybe the people in denial didnt realise... everything is not more shiny... its exactly the same as it always was.. just less plastic-looking like halo2 was... and so what if its shiny... if shiny makes it look cool then why not?
