I made the mistake of buying a 360. I was worried everyday then I turned it on it would get the RROD. I sold it after 3 weeks and got most of my money back. It was too nerve racking for me.jdc6305

Having had a an X-Box 360 for 5 days, I've experienced the lovely RROD. Having gone through it myself I must say, despite all the great games it has, is the 360 really worth it? It's been two years, and it's simply not acceptable that the 360 should still have his many problem. To all of you wanting a 360: Don't buy one. It's a waste of your money. I've kept it in a cool area, plenty of space, and have barely touched it since I got it. Turned the console on and off via my controllers, and have even kept my power cord elevated. I am now forced to come to one conclusion:
Only Nintendo is worthy of being in the gaming world. Sony lies too much, and Microsoft releases a failure of a console.

Maybe you should check the manufacture date before you bought it, unless you got it on ebay or craigslist (likely). Personaly I think you are full of crap judging by your sig. My 2nd gen 360 has never had a single problem and is fairly quiet and runs cool..i think you got a lemon.

The PS3 is celebrating it's birthday with millions of dollar in losses.

RROD is hardly outdated, everyday new people come on here going WHY ME WHY DID IT HAVE TO DIE NOW...the issue has not been fixed completely.

I hope you saved the receipt. The PS3 is not worth $140, never mind $340. Take it back right now and get your money back. Get a Wii instead.

I picked up a wii demo playing SMG at wal-mart last night, had both controllers in my hand started moving around did some attacks with the nunchuck and thought, wow this is insanely stupid...put it down and walked away. I'm sure swinging a 1 foot long virtual baseball bat or golf club is great fun but not my cup o tea.
