Merry Christmas to all!

And a Happy New Year on the 1st. I hope everyone's year was awesome, and if not, there's always next year. Have a safe and happy holiday season and Merry Christmas.

Semester winding down

Thankfully the semester is winding down and I can finally get my head above the pile of homework and course material for a week during Thanksgiving break. I suppose that's at least one thing I'm thankful for. A break. Taking 18 hours was one of the most difficult things I've done during my college career, and next semester I'm 1-upping myself and taking 21 hours. I must have a death wish or simply a heart attack wish from all the stress that I have just opened myself up to. Hurry up and get here Christmas break so I can at least hold on to the hope that I won't be in the career life for at least one more semester.

I am currently 6 months away from marrying my bride-to-be. She's pretty awesome. Coincidentally, I'm also 6 months away from graduating. Scary prospects.

NO SPOILERS: Skyrim is taking up way too much of my time, but I'm not complaining. It is literally one of the best put together games I've played in the series, and possibly altogether. I've literally done 8 main quests and 40+ side quests and I'm already a level 27. I love the free roaming aspects of that game. Don't tell me the storyline any who read this, because I like finding things out for myself, so no spoilers you hear?

Arkansas Razorbacks are #6 in the BCS poll. That's the highest they've been in a long time, and it's an exciting time for the fans, players, and students here in Fayetteville because if the stars align perfectly and Arkansas manages to win out, they have a great chance to play for the National Championship. That would be a nice sending off gift from the university to me since it will be my last semester starting January.

MW3 was a let down. But who didn't know that was going to happen? It's just a re-hash of every other CoD game, and it's thoroughly disappointing. Don't get me wrong, I still play and still WILL play that game to no end, but it just feels too similar to every other one I've played. I was left longing for more.

I will see you guys in December after finals for another blog post.

Lurkin' like a boss!

Yes, I'm still around. Don't fret. My blog posting has certainly diminished of late, but I blame it on school. 18 hour semesters really do numbers on your free time, not it a good way.

So some huge games are on the horizon. FIFA 12 coming Tuesday along with the early Beta for BF3. Can't wait for that game to come out. Been waiting for a solid game from the Battlefield scene for a considerable amount of time now, and I'm glad it's only a month away.

In other news, I played through Gears 3. Don't worry, no spoilers, but let's just say that I've never played a series of games that had such a strong character development and storyline. The Gears story wins my vote for the best storyline in a series of games, hands down. No game has made me literally "feel" for the characters the way this game had me feeling. The end had me yearning for more. Well done Epic Games, well done.

Anyhow, my Razorbacks are playing Alabama this weekend. Woo pig!

I'll return soon with another blog post. I promise.

Wow 6 years!

Tomorrow marks another landmark in my time spent here on Gamespot. 6 years ago, I created an account, and who would have known I would have come this far? I am leader of two (formerly) prominent unions who were at their peak in activity at the time, I've got almost 15k posts, and I've been moderated more times than I'd like to care about. I should be about 11 levels higher right now, but thanks to those friendly moderators, I am not. Alas, I digress.

I've also had my XBL account for 6 years as well. Pretty crazy considering.

I just got out of my advising appointment, and I'm about to enroll in some classes for this summer and the following fall semester. Looks like I'll be graduating the University of Arkansas in May of 2012. That's a big deal for me. Nobody in my immediate family graduated from a Division 1 school, and I'll be the first (and only) from my high school class to graduate from the U of A.

For those of you who do not know, or simply do not care (as likely as the case may be), I am back with my previous fiance, and we are going pretty strong at this point. In all likelihood, we'll probably get married and hopefully have a few kids as well.

I feel like I should write more, but there isn't much more that I can think of. I've got 3 tests in the next 2 days that I need to be studying for at the moment. I'll blog again shortly after this week I'm sure.

Anyway, have a good week guys/gals and happy 6 years to me!

Birthday for me!

Well, today is my birthday. Cool. Makes me 22. Neato.

I need to blog again soon.

In a month's time, I'll be celebrating my 6th year on GS. Now that throws me for a loop.

Semester winding down.

So finally, we're coming up on Christmas break for just about everyone around here, and it's a much needed break for me. I just got a job and I work until 1 am and then have to get up at 530 am to go to physical training. Let me tell you how ridiculously hard that is. Luckily the last PT session for this semester was Wednesday and now I get a break!

Finals are next week. Don't expect to see me around much until after those.

In other news, I'm in Arnold Air Society which is a Registered Student Org at the U of A and it's a subdivision of AFROTC and it's a pretty tightly knit community. Well I was just elected support officer and that rank is entitled AAS Cadet 1Lt. I'm pretty excited because regular members are just AAS Cadet 2Lt. Basically the support officer just goes out and gets everything done that needs to be done like activities and what not. Bunch of going and doing business, but hey, I enjoy that!

I'm hoping Auburn beats South Carolina tomorrow so that Arkansas can get into the Sugar Bowl on January 4th! War Eagle!! (you will never hear/see me say that ever again after Saturday)

WOO PIG SOOIE!

Don't forget guys, if you're having some difficulties in life and just want someone to talk to, I'll be here for you. A couple of you have already come to me and I pray that I've made some sort of impact on your attitude and that it's been for the better.

Enjoy the holidays, and as always, stay safe and responsible.

Hola!

Hello all.

Do you ever get to the point of, while in school, think it's just not worth it anymore? What's the point in learning useless things like the different rocks of the earth (my example) or learning algebra that is never used in your future profession? These questions I ask myself quite frequently. I wish I could find the person who decided to put all these classes into a curriculum and slap them a couple of times.

I have changed a little since we've last talked. My goal now is to encourage. So if you need anything that you just want to get off your chest and you're struggling with, PM me. I'm here. I don't care if we don't know each other. I won't judge you, won't think anything different of you. I have been going through a rough time recently and I know things seem sometimes as if they are all out of control and when you talk about it, it helps. So remember, I'm here. If you need some kind of uplifting, I'll do my best to help YOU have a better day. I know when someone goes out of their way to make me have a good day, I am thankful. I want to be that person in the future to someone else. To you.

3eyed.

Been a while

A lot of things have happened between now and the last time I posted. A lot. Where to begin?

I am now single, unfortunately. My ex-fiance found it so fitting to end things 2 days before school started and before I moved into a completely new city to go to a new university 2 hours away from home. No big...

I just today finished my physical fitness test for the Air Force ROTC program, and did better than I expected with only a month to train. I needed a 75 to pass the test and got an 88.8. Got 53 push ups and 53 sit ups in a minute and ran a mile and a half in 11:57. The mile and a half was my weak spot. I need to drop that down around the 10:30-11 mark. But that'll come with time and training.

The U of Arkansas (where I go) is 3-1 this season ranking 15th in NCAA football. Had a heartbreaking loss to Alabama last week, but we've got a whole season ahead of us and we all have high hopes!

It's time for a much, much needed break from reality this weekend, and I'm going to spend it resting and hanging out with my family.

Until next time guys,

See ya.

School soon...

Well, I've got about a week until I officially start my career as an Arkansas Razorback! I'm pretty excited. It's going to be a huge change going from a Division II college to a D1 college, but I hope to get used to it soon enough. I move into my new apartment on Sept 1st and coincidentally that's the same day of the Black Ops multiplayer reveal! It's going to be a good day.

Anberlin's new cd is Sept 21, Fifa 11 is Sept 28. Man, September is going to be a good month!

World Cup over. Sad day.

Well, the World Cup has been over for a couple of days now and I must admit, I'm pretty excited about the champions! It was a good year for my Barcelona players (Pedro, Villa, Iniesta, Xavi, Puyol, Pique, and Busquets.) Spain is the World Champs and deservedly so. It was a good cup in retrospect. Seemed like a terrible referee clinic however. Note to kids who want to be referees: Do better than that.

I got accepted to the AFROTC program at the University of Arkansas yesterday. Now all that's left is to get accepted into the university! I'm sure that's a no-brainer after the program accepted me.

Not much to talk about recently. So long.
