I would say that Call Of Duty 4 is only worth the money if you want to play the Multiplayer. Even though the Singleplayer is really good and what objectives you are set are fun and possibly realistic, I wouldn't recommend it if you want a game that will last you more than a week if you play it casually. I don't know about Gears Of War on that respect, but I am sure it has got more offline game-time than Call Of Duty 4.

It could possibly be a program running in the background that is causing this. Check what you are running and see whether canceling a process/application makes it any better. Also be careful what you do cancel as it could be something that is essential for your system to run. Otherwise it could be anything from graphic drivers/directx updates and fixes to hardware overheating.

I am just wondering what this site actually entails. Obviously the main aim is that you can download some famous game titles for your PC for a monthly cost. I have seen an advertisement around this site which allows you a 14 day trial, so does this mean you can download as many games as you want in that time, and be able to play them forever aslong as you don't uninstall them. Or, is there a catch that you have to keep on paying to play them particular games aswell as have the opportunity to download more? Thanks if you have replied to this topic.

I think Medieval II Total War/Rome Total War were the only really good 'educational' games that I have played, even though at the time I didn't really see it in that aspect. There was alot of information to take in and I don't really know if it helped with how you were supposed to play the game alot, but it helped with the history.

I think both are really good games. I have played through the whole of Oblivion and the expansions/packs and it does have alot of content. I am not too sure about The Witcher with that point, as I have only just started playing that. One thing I would say about The Witcher is that the optimisation of the game is pretty poor, and it requests quite abit of CPU which is a disappointment. I have voted for Oblivion anyways because I really enjoyed that game, even though though the storyline was abit patchy.

When I installed and played the game it was fine for me. I would have thought re-installation would have resolved the problem. But in any case, check that your graphics/sound card is upto date with drivers and so on. It could also be conflicting with some of the hardware you have built into your Computer. If you haven't done so already, you should maybe put a supportticket through on the official site or community sites for more help.

From my experience it doesn't take alot of resources, or effect your computer in anyway. It is all to do with whether your computer has the right specifications to run that particular game, and if so, your gaming experience should be smooth. I don't really know about Steam blocking any type of trainer/modification code, but I am sure there is a way of doing it. I think alot of the games are easy to play and worth while taking the proper route anyways, otherwise it could ruin the whole thing.
