I voted for Half-Life due to it being the only game I have actually played out of the choice. :/

I play Call Of Duty 2 and it has quite a large community, even though the introduction of Call Of Duty 4 may have effected a small decrease. I usually find that alot of people play both games as they have their differences and perks. I don't know if you use Xfire or not but if you do then you will know about Call Of Duty 2 being the 3rd most played along with Call Of Duty 4 being the 2nd most played. So this just proves that there is still alot of CoD2 fans out there!

I think if you regard yourself as low skilled you should consider communities oppose to Clan's as people have stated. Communities are more concerned with activeness and the way you present yourself more than the skill factor, whilst alot of competitive Clan's tend to take in consideration of your skill.

Obviously if you get into a community you might then improve, and decide to go further with your gaming and become abit more competitive, joining a Clan.

I think the monthly fees could negate people to play World Of Warcraft and more proven MMORPGs rather than invest in an unproven game which could actually be pretty bad. I reckon that the only thing in favour of this game is the original idea of a new MMORPG game along with the ship fighting PvP and the vast area to explore. I also think the graphics are good from what I have seen so far but it is if the storyline can follow in suit also. :/

Well if your breaking your engine it means that you are more than likely over revving the engine, leading your engine to blow. If you can, you need to change gear just before it hits the red part of the meter, and by doing this it should prevent your engine from overheating. You can tell if you have changed gear correctly as writing should come up in the middle of the screen telling you 'Perfect Shift' in green or 'Good Shift' in blue.

If you struggling with that particular race regarding the speed/performance of your car then you may need to think about upgrading your parts or buying a new car. Hope this has helped you.

I think using software such as Steam is a good start as you can join various groups denoted to a subject, or in many cases games. You can then get to know a few contacts, add them to your personal friends list and I would bet on it that they would introduce you to a Clan if you brung it up. Another good piece of software is Xfire. This is basically a gaming instant messenger where you can talk to people in-game, see what games they are currently playing, have your own personal profile etc. I think just sticking to a relatively active Clan server is one of your best bets though. By doing this you will get to know that particular Clan more and you may be asked to match for them.

Yes, I did hear about there actually being a Beta but unfortunately I didn't get the chance. Obviously there is going to be a trial game as people are not going to risk the loss of £30+ just to find out that they like World Of Warcraft alot better and don't fancy playing it. Like you said Alaris, it won't be World Of Warcraft status but hopefully it will end up being a successful game.

Is it out in America yet as I thought I read somewhere that it was released and 3,000+ people had already subscribed or something?

What is your opinion's of this game from what we have seen so far regarding previews?

It is not far until its release so I thought I would get some sort of topic existing. From what I have seen so far, I really like the idea of it being revolved around something that as far as I know hasn't been tried before in an MMORPG game, pirates. The video's I watched gave a really good insight into the graphics and interface along with abit of ship fighting (which I think is part of the PvP). It has a vast area to explore and is of course based around 18th century Caribbean where you can pick different 'character races' with different paths.

Hopefully it will end up being successful with its innovative and original ideas, but with the likes of many bigger rivals around such as World Of Warcraft and Everquest do you think this is possible?

Anyway, what's your opinion of this promising prospect of 2008.
