@Gallowhand @R2C25 well said SIr. The fanboys on here need to take note; for this to be a success it needs to appeal to consumers so much, they hand over their bank cards to buy one.
We had an evasive botched reveal and the last few remaining fanboys insulting people for pointing out the flaws in the thing.
Do those 2 things together make us want to buy a new xbox? Hmm not so much.
@Dannystaples14 Microsoft spent millions on its reveal, built a building to show the thing off, had a stream of media trained execs showing off the console, and as you say, we dont know anything about it. It is a PR disaster.
If you have an event and don't lay out what the thing can and cannot do, and evade questions about things that concern potential customers, you end up with torrents of abuse online about the product.
This is pretty basic PR and marketing stuff. Hard to get wrong but they managed it.
@felixvarela07 count me in too. Just downloaded KOTOR on my iPad loving that at that price, got PC gaming rig web pages bookmarked. All eyes on MS and Sony now. 360 switched off and gathering dust, tired of the damn ads.
If they think we will just give in and choose between the two of them, they have a very nasty shock coming. It is our way our the failway.

@frozenux same on pads and phones. agreed. Trouble is, the PRICE of console games, plus the fact they are on physical discs. It is a toxic mix. They want the best greed parts of PC and console gaming in one nasty DRM package.

Come on Major Mistake, or whatever the heck you call yourself, we know that you know *exactly* what this console will do with it's DRM. Now be a man and put your cards on the table.
Ipad gaming pales in comparison of console or pc gaming. But yet you think the PS4 is "the future"? Got news for ya friend,
Suggest you learn to count, you think combined PC sales and console sales can match the App Store? 1 billion downloads, most of them games. And if you want to argue they don't count, they are games. And real racing 3 on the ipad 4 has graphics I have yet to see on a console for speed and resolution.
Well, I owned both previous xboxes. No way on earth I am getting the next one.
I have an iMac quad core I use for work, might get elder scrolls online for that. Other than that its my iPad for games now.
The future is either a custom PC hooked up to the tv or a PS4. This could turn out to be the worst console gen in history and the beginning of the end of console gaming.
I really do think its best days are in the past now. It is no longer run by gamers for gamers. It is run my blood sucking leeches who steal money from people anyway they can.
