@HowlPendragon @CharlesBurns good point. Although everyone I know who bought a windows phone had no life to start with, so that was an easy win for MS

How will microsoft stop channel hijacking? It knows the voices of the family, you are annoyed with person watching dancing with the farts, so you walk past and shout xbox fat people falling over on youtube now

not impressed. They have talked about TV on screen schedulers like they just invented it; its been on our screens for decades. Also, this presentation was overwhelmingly for domestic market. I live in the second biggest xbox market, and everything from the football with crash helmets to defending the USA in new COD, was very nice if you are in america, but I am not. I feel disconnected from it.

1; do try and learn to differentiate between mathematics and corporate predictions

2; even on your terms which are wrong, you are wrong...

@Spartan_418 the red ring of death was inevitable. Microsoft are a software company. What they knew about making consumer electronics in 1999 (pre-xbox) you could write on a postage stamp. They have spent a decade flying blind and making it up as they go along.

Let's list those "potential pitfalls";

Day 1 DLC

Season passes

Blocking used games

Always online

Forgetting people buy a games console to play games

Ramming ads down people's throats

Pre ordering systems with no consumer benefit

Microtransactions for full price games

Paying to play online

Camera systems that are always looking at the console owner

User interface that has gaming taking up 15% of screen space leaving 85% for ads
