Washout!!!!!

This area is supposed to get a deluge of rain this weekend, thanks to Tropical Storm Hannah. Thanks,Hannah, for canceling the high school football game I was supposed to go see tonight!!

Other than that, not much else to talk about other than school.

Math was easy.Aced a pop-quiz that wasn't very pop-like since it was on the board yesterday but got canceled because of the class meeting and everybody knew it was coming today for sure.:P

English gave me project #2 of this 4-day-old school year. All I have to do is paste a bunch of stuff related to my heritage on a peice of computer paper.Which should be easy,as I have an ancestor from basically every European country.:P

After that,nothing blog-worthy happened.So,I won't even try to make stuff up.:P

Locusts,Football,School,And An Epic Flop.

Last night was time to shop for school supplies.Everyone's favorite part of the beginning of school, right?:roll:Here's just a quick summary of the experience:Imagine a farm just after it's been devoured by a swarm of locusts, and a few stragglers are still hanging around eating the last bits of edible material. That would be last night.

Well,it wasn't that bad, since we did find everything but the dividers I needed. But it took wayyy too long.:|

School today was decidedly boring, since the novelty of new classes has just about worn off.Math was simple:we handed in homework, then went off to the auditorium for the sophmore class meeting. That's it.No math involved.:P

Then World Geography gave me the first product of the new school year, and only 3 days in,too!!It's not that bad, though, the project is small and easy. All we have to do is make up a fictional continent with a required number of features.I'm not even sure why it's classified as a project.Of course, the continent's shape will be dependent on whether I'm feeling mature or not.If I am,it will be the usual amorphous blob.If not,it will be shaped like a penis.:P

OK,I was kidding on that last part.:P

Oh,and by the way:Are you ready for some FOOTBALL!!!???:P

Yes,football starts again tonight!!!:DCan't wait!!

And now the flop so big you could practically hear it.I'm talking about Spore,of course.A lot of people, myself included, had enourmous expectations for this game.10's,GOTY's,you get the idea.Instead,it gets a lowly 8.0 on Gamespot compared to our expectations. It's dissapointing, sure, but that won't stop me from buying it.

That's all for today,so bye!!

A Little Trigger Happy,Aren't We??

Soon after posting yesterday's blog, the mods struck. The infraction?

Reason for moderation: Derogatory use of the term 'retardation'
Action Taken: Delete Msg - Your suspension will be rescinded in 1 day(s).

For quoting Yahtzee,I got a one day suspension.:|Sure,I probably deserved to have the message deleted, but why a suspension? It might have been just for 1 day,but a suspension's a suspension. It seems to me that the mods go for that shiny "suspend" button too much.Oh well,at least I wasn't banned....

Speaking of Yahtzee,I suggest you watch one of his reviews if you haven't already:

Oh yeah,and there's also school.

Once again, the only period I have every day is 1st period, and that's math.In which nothing interesting happened. So let's move on to English instead.

.........

Oh,wait, nothing interesting happened in English, either. On to Spanish!!!

Not surprisingly,I'm going to have some trouble with this one.Mostly because of the way I was trying memorize the words and phrases. It went something like this:repeat something until you're sure you have it down, then continue down the list until you come back to the first item, only to find you've already forgotten it.Either that,or you can't quite put your finger on it.I guess I'll just have to use my tried-and-true method of memorizing, which is repeat until so bored you can't possibly forget.:POh yeah, and most of the people in the ****are freshmen, which makes me feel senior.:P

Next is Pre AP Biology, which also wasn't interesting at all, except for being filled with even more freshmen. And of course, being a ****with "AP" in the name,it is sure to become a bane of my school existence.

That's really all for today, except we have to go shopping for supplies tonight.Yippee.

*ugh*Here We Go Again........

Today my mom woke me up at about 5:50 in the morning.I immediately wondered why the heck.......oh yeah, school. So I dragged my dejected self up to the bus stop, got on,and rode to school, where I immediately discovered that the homeroom number that had been posted on the front doors of the school was wrong.:|

Luckily,it only got better from then on.I got all the usual stuff in homeroom, including my agenda and the usual mountain of paperwork that will make my parents go into convulsions tonight.:P

Next up was World Geography, which is taught by a crazy person.Luckily,it's the "good" type of crazy. But this class included a first: homework on the first day!!Seriously,I'm going to go do it after I post this.

The next class presented a bit of a problem. It was Life Skills in room......LCR??Naturally,I had no idea what LCR meant, and of course had no idea where it was.And most of the teachers I asked didn't know either. Some of them didn't even know the Life Skills class in question even existed!!Eventually someone had the realization that LCR means Library Conference Room. Now how the heck was I supposed to know that??So this class is designed to help with social skills, because I'm actually kind of awkward in person.I was sitting next to someone who started every sentence with "It's not that I don't....." or "I mean,....." and had one volume: loud. The cool thing about this class is,besides being a solid time sink,we get to choose when we go to lunch.

Lunch featured the infamous,100% artificial "Crispy Chicken on a Bun",which happens to be my favorite.:P

Next up is PE 10,containing everyone's favorite subject,Driver's Ed.I haven't started yet,but I will eventually. My PE teacher is Ms. Duerr, which sounds extremely inappropriate when spoken out loud.:PMost of the period was actually spent waiting for the bell to ring at 2:00,a two minute decrease from last year.:PNeedless to say,it was boring.

So,that was my first day of my sophmore year in high school.By the way,I'll be trying to blog every day from now on.

School Starts Tomorrow...........:(

Yeah, tomorrow I start the routine of getting up way too early, walking through the neighborhood before the sun is even up,and then sitting in a large, cold building and not seeing the light of day for 5 hours.:|Oh well,at least the school food is good.:PThis year is going to be my sophmore year, which means I'm only second from the bottom of the barrel.:PI got math for first period, which means that unlike the other classes,I have it everyday.

Anyway,I'm actually kind of excited,at least because you don't really do anything for the first few days.:P

Going To The Outer Banks!!!!!!!!

Yep,I'll be going to the Outer Banks for a week,so you won't be seeing me around.:)(Not that I'm around much anyway...:P)

Also,in preperation for the upcoming school year,I've made the tough decision to resign from unions that I am an officer or leader in.It sucks, but I think it'll work out in the end.:)

Jeez,I Almost Relapsed...:|

Not involving drugs or anything, though. No,what I meant was that It's been over a week since my last blog, and I might have gone into another blog-posting hiatus.:PYou might not have heard from me till October!!:P

But I've pulled myself from the brink, and am here to say one thing:JOIN THE ELECTRONICS UNION!!!!!!

Okay, since I was just made leader of the union,I encourage anyone who is a regular Gamespot visiter to join here:

http://www.gamespot.com/pages/unions/home.php?union_id=TET

It needs a few active recruits,so try it out,:)

Anyway that's really all I had to say, other than I toured the White House today.:PBut that was surprisingly unnotable,so I'm not going to mention it.:P

Bye!!

Happy Birthday To Me!!!!!!!!:D

Today is my 15th birthday!!!!!!!:DIn just a few hours I'll be 15 years old!!!!

So,I expect all of you guys to buy me something.:P

Anyway,I spent pretty much all of yesterday watching the E3 press conferences, expecting that I might still get the emblem.:PNo luck.Oh well,Nintendo's conference sucked hard, and the Sony and Microsoft conferences make me really want a PS3 and 360...

I've also discovered quirks in my Total Access subscription.Since the name you put on the billing info has to be the same as the credit card used,Gamespot now thinks I'm my dad.:PPlus, since it also thinks I was born in 1966 now,I can watch M-rated vids on this site!!

Oh well.:P

BYE!!!!!!HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!!!

Cream Of The Crop!!:D

I just wasted two months' worth of allowance by subscribing to Gamespot's Total Access.:PActually,it's not wasted money at all, cause' I get this awesome new Ice Light color scheme,no ads anywhere, and the satisfaction of knowing that unlike most,I'm actually paying to be here.:PPlus,I get that shiny Total Access emblem.:P

That's really all I had to say,so BYE!!!!!!!

I Fear For The Future Of Our Dear Earth/Camp Blog!!!!

Yes,as promised on Sunday, here is my camp blog, containing a pic of me!!!!:DI would suggest you read the whole blog, though, instead of just looking at the picture.(Besides, you'll need me to tell you which person I am,as it's a group photo.:P)

But first,an event has occured that has caused me to question the intelligence of humans alltogether.........I watched the local news.:P

Yes,even though keeping up with current events is disheartning enough, this happened:According to the news, there have been random shootings in a random part of Washington D.C..That's loony by itself, but then they had to put on an ACLU(American Civil Liberties Union) lawyer who was taking the city to court over police checkpoints being unconstitutional. Now,already somethings wrong here:the guy is an ACLU lawyer, which means he pretty much believes laws to be violations of human rights.:roll:But then,as he's making the argument that checkpoints don't work,he supports it with this gem of common sense:

"When the checkpoints were up,nobody got murdered. When they went down, people got killed.I think that makes it pretty clear that the checkpoints are useless."

...............................................

WTF?

That is perhaps the stupidest statement in human history.

Anyway,to camp!!:DHere is the official picture of me:

PSYCH!!!!

Or,well,not psych.I couldn't find the photo.:P

SORRY!!!

I'll revisit this subject when I can get the photo.:PUntil then,BYE!!!!
