[QUOTE="trasherhead"]I say ban their PS MAC addresses, perma gimp their PS. Removing their PSN's from the server only bans them from COD4 only. Unknown_Hero3

Lil harsh there..ban them from Cod i can see but being banned from PS3 is like the worst feeling in the world

i have to agree trasherhead, if people knew they would be getting banned from PSN by their MAC addresses and just their user ID their urge to hack would be contain, and if they get banned its their own fault. This hack practically ruined the online mode of this game, and lets not to mention other games where there have been constant hacks. I say to get your PS Mac address unbarred you should be forced to pay a fine of £50 then us gamers who play within the rules can play in peace.

1. What will you do to make sure the ps3 keeps on going strong?

Create a PS3 slim and make this the entry level PS3, bring back the 60gb and make this the premium console with sensible pricing, speak to game developers and find a way to make it easier and cost effective for them to make games for us thus maximising our consoles potention and not just constant 360 ports, consider droppingblu-ray.

also drop PS2 support

2. How will you advertise ps3 products better than those before you?

"Do a microsoft vs apple" and show people the same rival console specced up to our standard console will cost you XYZ not to mention online gamingcosts, or if thats to below the belt try.

"we at Sony know you can get good deals for internal hard drive, thats why we don't sell you branded ones, we at sony know that gaming can be used as a social tool, and thatpaying£40 for a game is enoughand why we are commited to keeping our onlinefree, like you pc counter parts.we at sony undertand the statement each to their own which is why we allow you topick your ownkeyboards and headsets.

3. Which companies will you try to bring into sony to make ps3 exclusive games & which would you drop?

I would keep rockstar Kanomi, and try to negotiate a Golden eye 64 & prefectdark game for online PSN with RARE, drop no one the more the merrier

4. What would be your #1 priority? Making money, pleasing the sony fanbase or leaving things as is?

things can not stay as they are and money is important or we won't survive, but look after the fan and they wil look after you and more important show the fans you have listen to their complaints and they feel appreciated.

5. Would you be willing to collab with other companies such as Microsoft & Nintendo on new ideas?

Yes to ridconsole only games and make a good trade off with the rivals, i.e Gears of war= Resistance 2, killzone = halo.

6. What ideas would you push towards the completion on the next sony console?

sensible pricing, pip microsoft for an early release or a ****c head to head, better PSN whilst it is good now there's still room for improvement this is to remain free (ban hackers by their ps mac address and make them pay a fine to get it unbarred), allow people to listen to their own music whilst playing games as this is hugely popular, speak to developers again on how they can make their lives easier for making games for our console thus maximising it potential.

why do you play games? Is it to beat others or is it time passing? Or is it something else? For me it mp is a few things. I feel good sometimes if i win a game or something but other times i play just for a laugh as im boreddelasandro
depends on age, and console when i got the snes it was mainly because everyone else had it and to play it meant going over to my friends house's and they would always beat me at the games because they had more time to play. so whilst i played for fun it was mainly to beat others. then as most of our parents got more paranoid about us kids being out so late we mainly went to each others houses and the 64 was more to kill bordem, whilst at XYZ house. but from the PS2 onwards it was mainly just zone out as the games were not really multiplayer focused, and by this time staying in doors was happening alot less and you were also on the phone talking to xyz. now this gen (of which i have had all the consoles) but soon ditched the Wii, my PS3/360 i use it to drown out long days/weeks at work and to kill of spare time and also relax me before exams etc

[QUOTE="Maqda7"]

I've seen the many, many hackers (the UFO thing)but is anyone else experiencing some server issues? Issues like I get promoted during a game but when I return to the lobby i'm still not promoted. The same with getting Red dot's and silencers and such. I've gotten the Red dot for my G36c 3 times before it actually worked.

Anyone else having the same issues?

yeah me to but mines with maps i have not done the ufo cheat at all, but a couple times when a match starts i will be able to do waht the UFO boys can do, but there is no one else on the map, but i can hear people who have mics and the only way to get out of the game is to log off PSN. or quit game start button does not work.

My 60gig maybe is 3 years old ( bought it used ) it's at least two years old though.Never had a problem with it.Just be cautious with used games, as they can freeze or **** up completely. Some or one peticular new game is known to go haywire.

cagivaelefant

Which games are these?

my games are always new, and my console still got messed up twice,

mind you my console is not very fond of GRAW 2

The reasons i am against DD mainly for PS3 and xbox 360 is:

1) set prices, if the only place we can by our games from is the online store it will be more difficult to find good deals,

2) re-sell: how do i buy a second hand DD or sell/part exchange for a new game

3)taking a game around afriends, since the game will be locked to my console it would mean lugging my console around rather than a game

4) download limits gift and curse i think Sony allow you to download upto 5 times, whats to stop people logging into their friends console downloading the game for them 5 happy game owners with 1 purchase then follows the draconian measures to try and counter this which usually hits the legitmate customer more.

i.e me who is on their 3rd PS3 console (though i would hope Sony database would sort me out)

and since i have heard not all console read direct from external harddrives what happens when i replace my HD thats full? please don't tellme this don't happen i have a 250gb HD and it only has 8gb left(Play TV)

Good solutions to the above then maybe i might be wonover,

You must of read my mind i was just coming on here to post the same question but mines slightly different.

i am on my 3rd PS3 60 GB, they keep freezing on me (PSFREEZE)and it always happens when i play COD4 HEAVY so i can't tell if its thegame ortheconsole.

The1st console,

Froze when i was doing maximun pawnage in shipment, (i up until this day have not hada repeat performance like that, tear rolls down face)

So i left it for a couple of days, but the problem had gotten worse and i could not even watched a DVD, called Sony and they told me to re-format the hard drive and if that did not work call them back. It did not work so igave thema call and within a couple of days my replacement arrived effortless.

2nd console,

i was playing cod4 again thenthe sound went (overgrown), i was also unable to the console on or off with the power button, then it started freezing constantly. i reformatted the Harddrive it did not work called sony and within a week 2nd console was sent again effortless.

now i am on my third console and touch wood so far so good, it has only froze on me once and yes this wasplaying COD4 heavy (Bog map)

but Sony did say that i only have a 3 month warranty on this 3rd console and kept trying to flog me insurance but as i explained, i should not need insurance when the console costs as much as this did, plusmy PS2and snes still work!!

to note: My PS3 is stored in a good space where over heating is not an issue i just can't figure out why it keeps happening, the guy said i should hover the vents frequently as thats the only thing he can think of.

be assuredSony customer service is excellent, and most of the service team are gamers which always helpsif your console does go wrong you will only be without a console a week tops.

p.s they even offeredto swapmy console forthe 80gb model.

Agreed,

when i first got my snes my sistes dropped a glass of coke on it (the coke fell into the slot where the game goes in), it went blue and i thought it was dead. i then turned it upside down and tried to dry it as fast as possible, left it on a heater for a couple mins reconnected everything back up and plugged in street fighter 2 turbo and it worked and it still work to this day.

My PS3 on the other hand broke down in 11 months, and Sony had to replace the console but not before they tried to recormend selling me PS3 insurance at £5.00 a month.

as for runner up i am stuck between dreamcast and N64 (the good old days of offline multiplayer)

i feel your pain, but bottom line is we were both suckers not for buying the console no no no but for not selling it ASAP and then moaning about it on GS lol,

my excuse is i am a nintendo fanboy and i have owned all nintendo consoles from snes onwards & most of the handhelds, but this might be my last nintedo console.

Currently it lives with my younger siblings and they love so its not all bad, but i have learnt a valid lesson this GEN, wait until all the consoles are out try aeach one, see which one most of your mates have and wait a little bit more for the first batch of duds to be sold (Sony recently replaced my launch 60gb console ps3) then buy.

Show no manufacturer loyalty and forget about backwards compatibilty, i have not played any of my ps2 games.

If you do buy a console and you are consistantly playing old games or wish you could (i.e need for speed most wanted WII) your current console sucks and you should change or you can except your mistake and tought it out until the new GEN.
