I feel a strong inclination to make a "vertically oriented" joke right now, but I'll refrain.

@tempertress Jess, thank you for lending some credence to the PS4 vs Xbox 1 poll (how it was administered is another topic). Anymore, I think Eddie just makes that stuff up to stir the pot.

I'm thinking Danny was sent to the San Francisco office to make it awesome!

One of my favorite things to do in previous GTA games is fly helicopters. But for some reason, GTA V's choppers wobble back and forth like the pilot is drunk. I work in the aviation industry and have NEVER seen a helicopter fly like that. It's just plain annoying.

@AngelsongCA @tempertress @Rheinmetal I agree with Popular Mechanics in that the x1 unit is impressive in technological capabilities. Whether it is a better gaming device, that's up for debate. However, it's the company that created it that I'm having trouble supporting.

I'll never argue that the X1 didn't innovate. It certainly is doing things that have never been done before (or at least to that level of complexity). However, those aren't things that I want. For example, it will be very innovative when we invent a car that can drive itself, but I enjoy driving so I don't want to pay 25% more for a feature that I just don't want.

What I do want is a box with plenty of horsepower and a good software lineup. I'll admit, PS4's software is lacking right now, but in time I think it will improve. I do think the X1 fits the description of what I want, but I feel like MS has shown their true colors with their pre-180 policies and, because of that, I don't want to put my money in their pockets. I know Sony is greedy too (all companies are), but at least they didn't have the audacity to tell me the freedoms they would be taking away from me and essentially telling me that it's for my own good.

Visually, the game looks awesome and intense, a la God of War. However, gamers are concerned that this will be a QTE fest. And quite frankly, Crytek's responses haven't helped that preconception. Still, I'm keeping an open mind.

Kevin's disappointed that the characters and plot aren't more fleshed out. But I just don't think that's Crytek's vision. I'm guessing that MS told Crytek they wanted an exclusive God of War experience on the X1 and that's what Crytek is going for.

Regardless, I doubt I will get either next console until at least summer of next year, so I'll be interested to see how everything shakes out.

Australian accents are awesome. I like the way Jess says WalMart. "Wulmaht". Here in the States (Kansas specifically), nobody has cool accents.

Earliest for me will be Summer of '14. Let the kinks get worked out. Got an insurmountable library to play until then anyway.
