[QUOTE="AD216"] lmao right. because everyone should want to pay for a beefed up version of the 360 and ps3 right? get real man, the policies imo were solid sans the 24hr check. who the hell cares if we can actually sell games for 1/4 what we paid and buy them for $5 cheaper because somebody else owned it first. only time i buy a game used is when i see one of them weak ass buy 2 get one free deals at gamestop and anybody i wanted to let use a game couldve did it through family sharing. now i should congratulate myself for a victory where i lost the policies i wanted and got back policies i dnt give a shit about? yayLegatoSkyheart

yeah, you're not really serious.

serious as a heart attack. why wouldnt i be? to each his own right? i've been gaming since 1990. i've owned every console nintendo, sony and ms has had to offer. not to mention segas and ataris. the industry has been at a stand still since 95. we see minor advances here and there but besides xbl making online gaming popular on consoles, there has been no forward movement. the industry is basically at a standstill. besides the live tv, multitasking and mandatory kinect, we r getting the same 2 consoles all over again. slightly beefed up. why would that make me happy? i could get a high end pc and be 2 gens ahead graphically if that's what i wanted

i think they shouldve had different policies for disc based gaming and digital downloads. like i have stated time and time again, the online check was the only reason i had questions about the x1. the family sharing and taking my games wherever i was digitally appealed to me a lot. this shit set gaming back another decade.

Agree with you. Digital distribution, sharing and cloud access to games was an awesome idea. The only real problem with the model was the 24 hr online check-in. I think without just that, the model would have been more appealing to consumers.

Not sure if you guys have seen this:

ms already confirmed it was the full game and that was a lie

[QUOTE="AD216"]i liked the console the way it was except for the ridiculous online check. as is, gaming will be stuck in 1995 for another gen.LegatoSkyheart

And nothing changed about the console.

The Games you saw at E3 are still there, the Kinect is still there, and the Online is still there.

Best part now is that it's Region free (so Region Specific games are obtainable.) AND no Online checks.

Anyone who says the old policies were good has to be a troll.

i believe that's the case too. the region locking ain't help either. at the end of the day, people fear change so we'll get the same thing this gen that we had last gen with better graphics on both console with the only difference being pay to play online and cross game chat on sony side. live tv, multitasking and mandatory kinect on ms side.

[QUOTE="Trail_Mix"]

This has been circulating all over the community. Thought I'd share it.

This was to be the future of entertainment. A new wave of gaming where you could buy games digitally, then trade, share or sell those digital licenses. Essentially, it was Steam for Xbox. But consumers were uninformed, and railed against it, and it was taken away because Sony took advantage of consumers uncertainty.tormentos

http://www.change.org/petitions/microsoft-give-us-back-the-xbox-one-we-were-promised-at-e3-2

It seems some have taken the liberty to start up a petition. A petition for Microsoft to bring back Xbox One's DRM.

So whatcha y'all think? Good? Bad? Ridiculous? Funny?

This are probably MS workers making this movement,so that MS back track again and say people asked for it..

i doubt it but then again i wouldnt put anything passed those greedy bastards

Signed, pre 180 is for resourceful and educated gamers that can pay for convenience and comfort, the 180 is for poor and stupid people with an emotional attachemnt to a plastic cover. Will still buy it because PSN sucks ass, need my multiplat multiplayer to work flawlessly... but your pushing it MS.

LegatoSkyheart

It's not like the Digital distribution is gone for good.

and it was never about the Digital Distribution that people didn't like it was the fact you had to be online every 24 hours other wise you console wouldn't work.

I know it's hard to believe, but there are a lot of people that don't have fast internet or internet at all.

i liked the console the way it was except for the ridiculous online check. as is, gaming will be stuck in 1995 for another gen.

[QUOTE="AD216"][QUOTE="NFJSupreme"]does it matter though? The difference is so small that it's not worth bragging about regardless of who is declared "winner"NFJSupreme

nintendo made a 70+ million leap in units sold and ms made a around a 40-50 million leap in units sold. those r great numbers any way u look at it.

that is a great jump for them but I ment it's not much to brag about as far as saying "Sony sold more than MS" or "MS sold more than Sony"  when its all said and done we will be looking at a few hundred thousand units here.  When you are talking 10s of millions of units sold it isn't really much.

honestly, it shouldnt even matter who sold what. people should just accept the fact that this was clearly the greatest gen in gaming history
