interesting how you decide how and what people will do with their console. actually lots of people use blu ray, which can be seen by its overwhelming control of the market, and the amount of studios using it exclusively. if you havent watched a blu ray movie, you can hardly talk, they are amazing.
I have a blu-ray player but not a PS3. And blu ray is controlling next gen format... "NOT" controlling the Movie market. that goes to DVD
I'm willing to bet that for every 5000 DVD's sold worldwide, one blu ray disc is sold... and the number might be smaller than that. I know people with PS3's that still buy DVD's and havent used their Blu-ray player yet
and thats not going to change in a year or 2? HDTV's are dropping, and all programming will be HD in less than 2 years, so yes, it will become a big thing. DVD was not adopted overnight either, VHS had a long run into the DVD generation, or did we all forget that?
it's not going to change for a while
consumers arent ready to give up on their DVD movies and players yet.
