i honestly tried to read this for about 10 seconds and then said.... no way... **** it. horrible for even engrish standards. completely unreadable.
[QUOTE="ferret-gamer"]Yes, but both CDPR and Nvidia teamed up very quickly and both issued a fix. It's a good example of Nvidia showing support for a developer that goes the extra mile by using the GPU command set within the executable. errrrrmmmmm..... a large number of people with AMD cards couldnt even run DX:HR AT ALL when it first came out....meanwhile i heard almost no complaints from nvidia users. are you sure you arent confused?Deciding off of one game isn't smart, few games release in as poor condition as RAGE did, and just because nvidia had less problems with RAGE doesn't mean they will always have less problems, in Deus Ex HR and Witcher 2 nvidia cards were worse off than AMD when they first released.
And BF3 beta is a beta, that is all i'm going to say on that subject.

Well no, you're wrong. T[QUOTE="AWolfoftheCalla"]
this thread makes me lol.... nothing but a bunch of PC fanboys raging because someone posted a truthful argument. "PC first" development is dieing at a fast rate. look at ID software and RAGE. a developer that has only developed for the PC since its very beginning.... now produces a game where the PC version has no graphical settings and MAJOR issues.Crysis 2 anyone? Epic games who pretty much now ONLY makes games for consoles when they were major PC champions back in the day? the writting is all over the walls people.
get over yourselves. PC gaming is great for certain genres, but it doesnt make the kind of money consoles do and therefore developers are abandoning ship at a rapid rate. PC gaming certainly isnt "dieing".... but seriously, if you dont think "PC first" development isnt going away, you are naive.

hese are people unhappy at a supported product release on the platform, which was developed for the platform as well. And that's perfectly reasonable circumstances to be unhappy.
Guess what these developers have changed their direction, and guess what, for massive triple A budget shooters they're obviously going to aim for a wider general demographic to make ends meet. RAGE was aimed at that audience first and foremost, that was no secret, however that's no excuse to release a poor build on the PC.
Does that mean the PC isn't developed first in mind? Well even in these circumstances no, BF3 is being developed for just that, and the PC has seen a massive increase in support and development on a whole, in a massive acceleration in the past three years - much of it thanks to the evolving distribution models of the platform.
Which means a variety of games can be financed and developed, not just triple A big budget titles, aimed at a general audience, which console games generally are.
Different strokes.
There's no such thing as a definitive 'first in mind' platform to develop for, and if you assume so you're wrong.
ok..... so im right then. you just said it right in your own post. so actually, when you said im wrong.... you meant i was right. yes, developers have indeed changed their direction.... AWAY from "PC first" development due to the MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS of extra revenue they can capture from the console market. thx for the support. its hard to argue with me when im right the majority of the time.i was going to do the trick where you shoot the drake from the dark knight tower to kill him.... but i cant see him...
i killed the black knight, and im at the top of the tower, and im looking right where the drake should be, and he isnt there. i go down the tower, into the sewer area with the rats and back to the bridge and he is there..... go back to the tower, and i cant see him. anyone know what the deal is?

console is pretty much the way to go these days. nobody develops with "PC first" in mind anymore. most games are developed for console and ported to PC. unfortunate but it is the truth... i pretty much only use my PC for RTS and MMOs these days, whereas 5-6 years ago i was pretty much a PC only gamer. Too many bullcrap issues with PC releases these days due to developers halfassing the porting process.

wow, what is wrong with people these days? do you guys even think before posting? I guess hard reset was not developed with pc in mind, red orchestra 2 was not, witcher 2 was not, Divine Cybermancy was not, Risen was not, Call of pripyat was not, Arma was not ?
Think before posting or don't post at all. It makes you look stupid.
