So I got my free Contra arcade game by increasing my gamerscore by 1500. I didn't even have to rent any bad games for points either. I'm proud to say my list of games played has not been sullied by playing bad games for points.
i havent tried the offline multiplayer, but career mode in itself makes it worth buying. awesome game once you start getting to big fights and tons of replay. not to mention an easy 1000 gamerscore. i like playing the game at night so it feels like a real fight is on. get it. you wont regret it. this is all coming from someone who typically doesnt like fighting or boxing games.
http://www.qj.net/Xbox-360-Elite-HDMI-supports-1-2-standard/pg/49/aid/88175 The last paragraph of the article says that the spring update will give you added video options including those for VGA. Woohoo! Goodbye washout.
I know I'm beating this issue into the ground, but i have to mention it. If MS would release a patch for the VGA washout problems on some tvs, then there is no reason for HDMI. I'm so sick of the fact that the only way right now to upconvert DVD's makes all my movies look so dull. I'm considering buying the Elite just for the upconversion without any loss in color, but I think ill hold out until the spring update in hopes that they add a feature that lets you adjust color and contrast from the dashboard. just had to vent. i love my 360, but i dont wanna give ms anymore of my money. especially with may coming up so soon.
but who's laughing now. Most of the ideas I had have come to pass including the possible travel to other cities. Here's my original post: look like Need For Speed: Carbon. I know it strays from it's cartoony roots, but it seems like a logical step forward. Even though it'll look more realistic it can still retain it's sense of humor and keep everything that makes it GTA. I've also been thinking about the location for the new game and think Europe would be ideal. It can tell the story of the Italian familes in their homeland and maybe stretch from Italy to Eastern Europe through the Alps and France and maybe even have some Greek islands. Since San Andreas, I've been thinking the game needs some parts of the map only accessible from boats or planes and this seems like an excellent way to make that happen. The game has to be bigger and better than the previous entries in the series and make us few as awed as when we played GTA III for the first time. Anyone else wanna add anything? If anyone wants a good laugh, check out the responses I got. http://www.gamespot.com/forums/show_msgs.php?board_id=314159266&topic_id=25229567
yea, the 360 looks great on sdtv...until you play it on hd. no going back after that. ive gone back and played all my old 360 games after buying my hdtv and am in awe everytime i turn it on.
For those who are saying that tvs have VGA inputs, check again. Alot of the PC inputs on newer tvs is actually an RGB input which doesn't support a few features that VGA does. This is true for all of the Sony's. Using it for a PC looks fine, but using RGB inputs with a 360 is what's causing the wash-out effect. If MS doesn't release a patch addressing the VGA wash-out, then HDMI will be the only way for alot of us to get both the richness of component with the sharpness of VGA. I made a topic last night wondering if a HDMI cable would be possible for those of us not wanting to upgrade to the new 360, but I'm sure MS won't do it as this would lose them sales for MKII. Technologically, it should be possible and it really sucks that a good portion of 360 owners will miss out on HDMI so MS can make even more money.
With all the hoopla surrounding the possible release of the black 360, can a HDMI cable happen for those of us who don't want to drop another $500? From a technical standpoint, would it even work?
Thanks for the response. I'm overly anxious to take advantage of my tv's capabilities even though I know the smart thing to do is wait it out. Especially since MS said a Blu-Ray add-on may be possible. Guess I'll just pick up some more games in the meantime.
