What better way to understand a religion then by finding out how the people who fallow that religion act? You say the comparison wouldn't favor Muslims, are you sure about that? Because i'm pretty sure nobody can compete with raping Africa/400 years of slavery.... and that's only the tip of the ice burg...Enosh88

hehe yes there is actualy one religion that can compete with christianity on that one. It's called Islam.

look up arab slave trade. 17 million people enslaved by muslims in africa alone, not counting europe or asia. Some schoolars even sugest numbers as high as 25 millon. Compare that to 11 million transported to the americans

so yeah if we talk about raping africa, muslims win by a long shot.

like click said, just don't talk about the last 500 years, beacose the numbers won't favor muslims

Muslims did indeed have slaves, but they did not rape every single one of them or treat them like animals.
In Islam it teaches to treat a slave in a humanly way.

yes your cpu can be a bottle neck, but just about the only thing that can bottle neck a 8500gt is something as bad as a p4 2.5ghz

ferret-gamer

I have a Intel Pentium D 3.40Ghz (2cpu)

It's not the latest but its still good from what I understand.
I dont think it will bottleneck the 9800GTx+

That's right, let's kill a fictional character, he won't escape our wrath

Fire this idiot, he's clearly not fit for his job.

Why do you guys always judge a whole group of people based on one or a few people?

clicketyclick

How is the Sheikh wrong?

well I havnt seen the reason why he has chosen to do such a thing but I can tell you that
there are alot of psycho people who take text out of the Quran and apply their own views
on different issues. People go as crazy as arresting people in the streets just for chewing gum
in the holy month of Ramadan.

[QUOTE="Abdullahcoolyo"][QUOTE="helium_flash"]How come the Middle East can't progress out of their stone-age thinking?helium_flash

Its just a process, Muslims were the thinkers of the world before and the Europeans were the inbreads.
Now it's the opposite... what's so hard to understand about that

Because medieval ages =/= modern times.

This is the information age. Back in the medieval ages, information couldn't travel that quickly, therefore ideas spread very slowly. However, the Middle-East has computers and can access information just as quickly as we can. Yes they seem to not be able to grasp the ideas about freedom of religion, speech, equality, ect, and are, well, seemingly intolerant.

It has been proven that these relatively new ideas can only progress one's society, but they refuse to adopt them.

So why can't they progress out of their stone-age thinking?

The leaders in arab countries are what's stopping us from getting ahead.
We have the money(not all Arab countries) and other things needed for getting
ahead but it just wont work.

It's like for example your teacher is guiding you to the door of success,
but it's your choice to go through it or not
