As much as seeing one of the two HD consoles fail would make many fanboys of the competitor happy, it'd be a disaster for their own console as well... as opposed to develop it for the Wii (wich requires a definately separate process) and then have to place a gamble on the wii enormlus installed base and scattered target....

Abriael

Agreed, since if one of the two HD consoles goes under, it will be disasterous for that one. Even if it's difficult to program on the Wii, it can be done (even if it's done horribly) and WILL IMPROVE OVER TIME given the chance. It can take up to a year or more to make a "good" game for a console and that's why we see so few 1st party games from Nintendo.

I don't know what 1st party games are made for MS and Sony; not like I care, but that's beside the point. The point is, it takes time to make a game with a new control scheme (IE the Wii) that one on a standard controller (IE 360 and PS3).

360 will own the holidays again for best games. Banjo 3 and Gears 2 FACT.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch since it's too early to tell who will win the holidays this year for the best games.

[QUOTE="deadmeat59"]to bad wii owns 360 in salesEddie_Munster08

Yes the Wii has the most system sales. Why it's CHEAP and it REEKS of casual.

Wii also has the most A trash titles for any current system.

Didn't the PS2 have shovelware? The most popular console will have shovelware no matter what. Should gaming be restricted to the hardcore gamers? I think not since not everyone is hardcore. I, myself, consider myself casual since I don't buy all of the hotest titles that are out there since I don't play to stickly pawn others in an online death battle were I win while taking little or no damage. I was being sarcastic with the latter part of my sentence just to let others know. I just play for fun and not to "own" my opponents in some death battle.

[QUOTE="Action_Player"]TC, I think your poll means the same thing with the choices. We all should give the devs some time to get the control scheme on the Wii correct and by next gen; the control scheme for motion sensing controls will be vastly improved from what the Wii has established on ALL consoles (yes, I'm saying that even MS and Sony will start having motion sensing controls to keep up with Nintendo; who will also improve on what they've done with the Wii).Kantroce

I hope you're wrong. I get the feeling that motion controls will be ruining more games than it makes fun.

Give the devs some time to get whatever the programming is named for control scheme for the Wii right. Sure, some of the games are "stick swinging" but the Wii can't do 1:1 control scheme since that is FAR into the future and we won't be seeing it anytime soon. Even if you were to over-exaggerate your movements; it's all in the name of fun and that's what gaming is all about.

Motion controls are the future of gaming and will be the "in" thing when next gen comes out.

[QUOTE="ChiChiMonKilla"]wii-fit cmon nowAndrew_Xavier

Yeah, getting healthy and doing yoga and losing weight is the enemy of the hardcore gamer,
they prefer Wii-TransFat.

No. Doing yoga under the guise of "gaming" is what really sucks. Just don't call it gaming.

And in guitar hero you are clicking plastic buttons on a guitar and calling it gaming,
and in rock band you are playing intruments and calling it gaming.

I think the correct word for this comparison is "touché." If you're going to argue that Guitar Hero and Rock Band are more fun and calling them a game than Wii-Fit; then your argument fails dramatically. They both get you "into" the game like most (if not; all) games should do.

I think it would also be cool to be able to be able to customise the Great Fox and actually be able to free roam inside it (go to your room to save, go to hangar to set off, go to the bridge for missions etc.MrNemesis

Good idea and maybe add a "training mode" like they did in Star Fox 64 so you can get used to the controls since the last games lacked it.

I want a star fox that is more like Star Fox 64.

Not like that Gamecube starfox...ugh

Sliverwarrior

If you're talking about Assault, what's wrong with it? I know most people disliked the ground missions, but I liked them. The Star Fox Team cannot, I repeat CANNOT, be confined to their Arwings. They also fight on the ground. The next Star Fox game can improve on the air battles as well as the ground missions. I would rather have both as seen in Assault than just strictly "vehicle" levels.

TC, there is no way, I repeat no way, to remove the "children mode (as you call it)" from the game. It's meant to be kid friendly where they can beat the game without the threat of a game over. The Lego series games will all have this feature. Try getting through the game without dieing or try not getting hit.

In Super Mario World your lives were saved as well as in the NEW Super Mario Bros. for DS.skyLine72

I do recall that your lives were not saved in Super Mario World (the SNES version at least, but I am unsure of the GBA/VC versions).
