That's the only way to get a developers attention. They are making the game to make money, and if enough people cancel their pre-orders, then the company needs to make changes in order to obtain their primary goal, e.g. make more money.

I can imagine the gnashing of teeth and return of games when PS3 users get hopelessly owned, Keyboard and mouse support isn't like PC support your using generic drivers so those fancy dpi settings, high accuracy and such on that pc mouse? yep only basics are supported on the ps3 its not like you can plug in a 24 button mouse and all the buttons work on the ps3.
your getting generic usb drivers even if you use a mouse and keyboard high precision mice users on the PC will be owning you.WilliamRLBaker
you're quite the person, putting a spin on PS3 owners getting more features as a bad thing. You don't know the first thing about Counter Strike. The best players or "pros" as they're called, commonly use a 600 dpi microsoft intellimouse. No fancy drivers.
While I do like JRPGs, no console manufacturer should center their console around one genre. Sony's got a good balance, where as Microsoft loves their shooters and Nintendo their platformers.
Speak for yourself eh, I love CGI cutscenes and I get way more excited over them then gameplay. Gameplay vids for most games look flawed or awkward in some way. CGI always looks perfect.CGI cutscenes. Why do Developers bother with showing them? No one is going to get hyped by them...either show gameplay or show nothing. Every single trailer seems to just be showing fancy looking CGI, yet we have no idea what it will play like. Haven't they learned from E3 05 with Sony's BS?

GamePro has given nearly 20 games 100/100. That right there is a reason to never take them seriously ever. While Eurogamer on the other hand who had given Infamous 1 a 7/10 giae Infamous 2 a 8/10 saying it had improved on almost everything and only had two negative things to say about the game ( can't remember what they were).I'd be highly surprised if it were AAA as well. The reviews are pretty mixed. I'll be getting it down the line but the GamePro review swayed me from a day 1 purchase.

Your post is void. You can hook your PC to your TV to do everything you can do with your console.[QUOTE="arbitor365"]
I honestly think that people choose to play games on their TV in a living room, instead of on a PC, for the same reason why they prefer to watch movies on their TV, instead of on a PC. The world will never entirely switch from consoles to the PC for the same reason why the world isnt going to give up watching movies on the TV so that they can watch them on their PC. True, millions of people watch movies on their PCs, but it will never phase out TVs, because of the experience they offer. I think the same thing applies to consoles. You are never going to have a world where nobody plays games on their TVs and youre not going to have a world where nobody watches movies on their TVs.

I've heard that point be made a hundred times here on System Wars, yet it's so far from the truth. I've moved 3 times in the last 4 years and each house varying in square footage by a thousand or more (3800sqft, 2400, 1200) and each house I've lived in has never had a place to put a computer in the media room (60" plasma). And even if it did, it would have looked cramped and retarded. So your post is void.I just went back and played Modern Warfare 2 recently and to be honest, it wasn't that bad. It had been almost a year since I touched the game, I had no expectations and rather enjoyed it. It claims to have this "cinematic experience" you speak of, and I believe it made it quite enjoyable.
So why are games trying to be like movies ? Because it makes the game entertaining ? Because it gets them to sell ? There doesn't seem to a downside to it on the developers end if they pull it off. Take your pick.
