Both series are actually directly connected to each other incontinuity. Dr. Wily created Bass to be an evil doppleganger of Megaman. He then states to Bass that he's actually "perfected" his design and is building his successor. That successor turns out to be Zero. If you beat MMX4 with Zero and watch Bass' ending on Megaman 2: The Power Fighters it'll all make sense. Dr. Light created X and sealed him off. It was a century or so until he was discovered by Dr. Cain. Cain subsiquently used X's specs as a basis to create other reploids (Sigma, Vile... etc), meaning that X is the father of all reploids in the X series. The Sigma virus was sealed in Zero when he was created and transferred to Sigma during a battle that ensued with him. Sigma defeats Zero, sends him to Cain, who then reprograms Zero to be a maverick/irregular hunter.

Your correlation is interesting. But yeah, purely subjective.

I'll just quote what I said about this on another thread:

That's a huge drawback IMO. Most don't have internet speeds that can download said games in less than a few days. And putting them on "Background" download mode would risk the install being corrupted therefore the time spent downloading wasted. It happened to me twice. I'd rather get them on disc.Aero5555

So when can we cash in?Bryan_Williams

Once the store's back online. And the offer will last for a month beginning that date.

you do understand you basically missed out the vast majority of good western Saturn games?Darkman2007

Here's my collection (which I still own):

Myst

Sega Worldwide Soccer

Sega Worldwide Soccer '98

Virtua Cop 2

Clockwork Knight

Megaman X4

WWF In Your House

Die Hard Aracde

Daytona USA

Bug!

Virtua Fighter (packed in)

I played (or borrowed for a couple months):

Panzer Dragoon

Street Fighter Alpha

X-Men: Children Of The Atom

Sonic 3D Blast

Tomb Raider (have despised the TR series ever since, horrible and boring)

The AAA titles I missed were:

Clockwork Knight 2

Nights Into Dreams

Enemy Zero

Burning Rangers

Panzer Dragoon RPG (or did it not get a Western release)

That RTS RPG by GameArts

Those are what I can recall from the top of my head which I missed out on. Please let me know any other good titles (not Tetris puzzle-based) which I missed other than those. When I take what's stated above and compare it to my Playstation experience the Saturn gets taken to school.

EDIT: Nobody said anything about its games being bad. It's all about the catalog and the number of games a Western gamer had in his Saturn's disposal.

I own lbp on the list ;)Wisely321

Well, personally since I already have (or had, beat and sold) inFamous and I hate never ending games like LBP I'm going with Dead Nation and probably Wipeout. Superstar Dust doesn't appeal to me at all. So IMO go with Dead Nation. But again, it's about your own tastes.

What failed it in the long run is the lack of strong 3rd-party support and software. I loved my Saturn back in the day (got it as a gift), but I gotta admit the most fun I had with it was with a couple of 2D fighters, sports games, Sonic 3D Blast, Myst and Megaman X4. I'll admit I'm 80% fond of my time with it back in the day thanks solely to X4. To me Saturn = X4. This goes to show the catalog of games it got for its Western release as a whole. The first Playstation on the other hand I can't count the number of epic gaming experiences I had with it. I've lost count.

Well, given how they're all free, you could potentially get all of them.
