lol hermits PS4 cant run something like Far Cry 3 at 1080/60?? xDDDDD

www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYQxOKgSsp4

Battlefield 3 maxed at 1080p with a GPU similar to PS4's. PS4 can do much better than that due to optimizing and how the entire hardware is unified.

clyde46

Youtube doesn't display more than 30 fps and there is no fraps counter to show what type of performance he's getting

BF3's campaign is hilariously easy to run. Even my old 560Ti could max it at 60 fps

BF3 was not designed solely for PC and some console bastaridsation ahppened

You really want to test BF3 when playing MP.

Yeah I was talking about playing max settings online with 60+ players.

Compared to the best hardware? Consoles don't stand a chance. The new consoles are mid range PCs

seanmcloughlin

So they wont be able to run games I mentioned above on max settings?

A question for people who really know their PC hardware, how are the PS4 and Xbox One compared to todays really high-end PCs? By high end I mean PCs capable of running games like ARMA 3, Far Cry 3, BF3, Crysis etc on the highest settings.

The Xbox One will remove one of the most significant advantages consoles have over PCs. In addition, it will create a market for people selling and renting their XBL accounts just to be able to play others' games. All Sony has to do to win next gen is not block used games. It's that easy. princeofshapeir

So people would rather rent accounts than pay a few extra dollars for a used game fee? Do u live in the real world?

Are you guys really this stupid? Nothing will happen to your xbox if you don't log in for a day...You just have to sign in once and you can play w/e game for 24 hours, and than after those 24 hours you will have to sign in to Live again to play. Also who doesn't have internet anymore? Unless you live in some third world country, there is wifi everywhere.

Desmonic

Do military bases have wifi?

Not only that, plenty of people still have "capped" internet which tends to suck for gaming+regular use. Plus yeah, there is Wi-fi everywhere, does not mean that it is free or unprotected for anyone to just go there and use. Which why any always online requirement is still too soon/early to be implemented. Maybe 8 years from now things will be different, but that's still in the future.

Just logging into XBL doesn't affect your "cap"

[QUOTE="RyanShazam"] Some of this stuff just seems ridiculous to me. I have no idea as to why it would be mandatory to log onto your Xbox once a day. What if you go on vacation or something lol Hopefully they clarify everything prior to E3 or at E3.super600

Why wont they? Soldiers do communicate with people back home.

[QUOTE="Desmonic"][QUOTE="RyanShazam"] What does it mean by you "have to"? If you don't sign onto your Xbox for a day does it become useless or something?RyanShazam
That they haven't specified. I'm also curious to know how people without Internet at home will be able to use it. MS has been giving different answers to everyone, it's like they are trying to avoid giving real info but just spread different types of misinformation while doing so. They reeeeaaallly should have made all these things clear yesterday, or at least in the following interviews.

You can build a PC that is far more powerful than next gen consoles that take about same space under your TV and then use wireless kb/m.

lostrib

Yeah but consoles are more user-friendly which means casuals will stick with it.

and casual is bad?

The step from consoles to PC get smaller every generation. Console-gaming is dying, it is not many reasons left to bother with consoles:|

PC is not killing the consoles, they kill themselves

aroxx_ab

Conosles aren't dying they are just changing to "all in one" entertainment units. Unless laptops start becoming more powerful than consoles, consoles aren't going anywhere.
