Uhh, would you jump at a sword, armed with a concealed knife, no, cos its plain stupid, facepalm* also, he did see that he was unarmed, because he wasn't armed. He wouldn't have been that he was unarmed but seen as armed would he!?[QUOTE="Alexc3217"][QUOTE="Duckman5"] We don't know if he saw that the guy was unarmed. It was dark and the man lunged at him, he could have easily been concealing a knife for all the man knew. What if the guy had not swung the sword and the intruder successfully took the sword away from him. Do you think the intruder would not use the sword? I sure don't. Hexagon_777
Try to make sense.
uh yeah, sorry bout that, it made no sense whatsoever at the end[QUOTE="fireflyJR"]
Death by samurai sword for theft? This undergrad should go on trial for manslaughter. The piece of sh*t thief was in his garage, not his house. The undergrad wasn't defending his wife and children when confronted by a psychopath in his house. The undergrad was angry and pissed because his gear got stolen a few days ago and he wanted vengence. He grabbed a sword and wanted to kill, plain and simple. As for the intruder 'lunging' at him? The intruder was confronted by some dude armed with a sword inside the garage. There was probably only one exit from the garage and the intruder was trying to run for his life.
You hear a noise from the garage or somewhere in your house, you call the police. That's what they're there for. You want to defend your family? Gather the wife and kids and get out of the house and go to the neighbours or if you can't leave, lock yourselves in the bedroom and protect them if/when the bad guy actually comes to the door. Otherwise you wait until the police get there and do their job. Grab your shotgun? Grab your automatic weapon? Gotta love that..."Well, yes officer. He had his back to me and was running away screaming, praying for his life, but he was on my property and had my copy of that PS3 gem 'Lair', so he had to die. I saw no other alternative."
Oh, and just because the internet brings such anonimity and ease to making these types of comments, here goes...it sure is f*cking easy to spot the Americans in these posts. Hells, yeah!! Where's my shotgun? Somebody looked at me funny...let's kill 'em...

There is no way to tell if he went with the intent to use the sword. He could have been going to threaten the intruder make him leave his stuff. But the intruder lunged at him, police investigated the scene and have said it checks out. The intruder was probabley terrified of going back to prison moreso than the sword if he was brave/stupid enough to jump on someone holding a sword. Should he have called the police? Yes, but its not a crime not to. Should he have gone to the garage? No, putting yourself in danger like that is really dumb, but once again its not crime. Should the retarded intruder jumped at a scared kid with a samurai sword? No. Should the kid swing his sword if a criminal is lunging at him? Yes.
EDIT: It's a garage... almost every garage has a personal door and a car door. Even if they only have a car door, I doubt the kid could effectively guard the whole space in the dark. Criminal wasn't trapped. Just dumb.
Uhh, hmm, Killer- "oh i didn't intend to use it officer" Officer- "so why were you weilding an offensive weapon, then use it" Killer- "Uhhh, i uhhh, duhh du duhhhh" Officer- "youre an idiot" Killer- "i know"HAHA...not racist...just not a fan of gun culture (regardless of what colour your skin is)...[QUOTE="fireflyJR"][QUOTE="Alexc3217"] BRAVO! of course youd be scared if you saw someone at the exit armed with a fukkin katana although boarderline racistMajorGamer531
