I'm probably in a rare minority who thinks Kojima is a little overhyped for his overly ambitious and convoluted games. I have a sneaking suspicion that it will collapse under its own weight.

Diablo 1 was the pinnacle of the franchise. Diablo 2 was when it began to slide away from its roots. Diablo 3 at the beginning was a travesty.

I don't doubt Diablo 4 will have loot boxes and cash shops and other garbage designed to milk you dry. Though, if we're lucky, they will have learned a lesson about a cash auction house.

@consolehaven: Yes, as with the free DLC for Titanfall 2 if I remember correctly. Or the insignificant loot boxes in Battlefield One.

Even so, it is worth mentioning that a lot of Bungie vets who helped create Halo are gone. Either to 343 Studios or elsewhere.
