The scores surely influence on the consumer buying process, but the person's interests weigh even more. I'm not a fan of shooting games so an 8,5 for CoD MW3 doesn't really mean much to me. However, I love strategey games like Advance Wars or Fire Emblem, so a 6 on Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn does seem a little too harsh for me. I loved the game and even though it has some flaws, I enjoyed it a lot and certainly wouldn't give it such a low score. The Gamespot reviewers do an excellent job , but I'm sure that some times they have to review a game from a genre they might not like, and the opposite might happen too. The score or the review shouldn't be considered a sentence to the game, but more like an opinion about it.
I think the 3DS has some great games, better than the DS had when it launched. Resi Revelations, togehter with Zelda OoT, Mario and many others show that, different from its predecessor, the 3DS won't have a shortage of good titles to keep the player entertained. Those games are reason enough for buying it (besides it being 3d)
I might buy it if they had done some research before trying to show Brazil. They put São Paulo as if it was Rio de Janeiro and said we spoke Spanish (we speak Portuguese). It's really sad to see that they really didn't care about what they were showing in the game.
