I understand perfectly the situation regarding used games and games being a big investment that you guys described. I live in Brazil and games have always been expensive here. They used to cost R$ 250,00 (roughly U$ 125,00), so I could only buy one or two games per year. Thankfully, things have gotten a little bit cheaper and I can buy thins on Steam now. However, if developers think they'll get more profit because people won't be able to buy used and the prices won't fall so fast they are being delusional. I certainly missed on a lot of great games because of this situation.
This is a very smart move by Nintendo. Show the games that people want to play and make them playable at the same time. I just wonder about the release dates. Having the demo in July for game that'll only get released in 2014 is a little weird. I guess the "select titles" that they're talking about are the games that are going to be released this year.
This is risky. It represents another obstacle for the developers since they have to make it playable in the Vita but it could help sell the system. We'll see if it pays off in the end.
@csward @AndCarlsen I think that's valid and other countries should do the same. I'm just saying that it's understandable why digital games can't be resold.
People accept the fact that digital copies of games can't be sold to others because they're not physical, it's just a bunch of data. Discs, however, are a tangible item that we own when we buy and should be able to do what we want with . It is understadable that digital games can't be resold, but there should be no limitations to the reselling of games bought on retail.
It had some release dates and a few announcements. It wasn't as good as past Nintendo Directs, but they said they were saving the big games closer to E3. I'm not complaining.
They do deserve the ratings they get. It just happens that the game is amazing and it's reviewing well. Congratulations to 4A for making such a great game under bad conditions.
