@Primeyuri Because Star Trek was like some lame nerd sh*t, then Abrams added explosions and hip, young actors to keep the Yolo-Swag brigade entertained while basing it off of the 1960's original series to appeal to all the Hipsters that 'liked Star Trek before it was cool'.

@Gegglington Nah, the whole thing about the game changing the show was a load of canine feces because the first season had already finished production when the game was released.

As for the show affecting the game... Barely, there was like a couple of new missions patched in to correspond with episodes of the show but they'd already been made and were just released at a later date.

In the end, the connection between the game and the show boiled down to a few missions with the two main characters from the show and the occasional name-dropping of a character from the game on the show or the show on the game.

JJ should watch Birgirpall's 'I Broke Star Trek' video on Youtube. Then he'd realize that this game is actually a comedic masterpiece.

A friend of mine recently bought a £300 BlackBerry for his son's 10th birthday, who promptly accused his dad of 'taking liberties' when he wasn't allowed to open it after staying up until midnight.

If children with £300 phones and mobile gaming is the future... I'm worried for both humanity and my hobby.

@MegaX- Because people don't understand that striving for extreme graphics settings in every new release is completely arbitrary and think that new PC components just magically explode after 6 months, forcing you to upgrade.

@lipote @Shango4 Same specs as mine. I run BF3 with a mix of high/ultra settings at a reasonable 40 - 60 frames per second so BF4 will most likely run fine.

Might have to drop everything to high though.

@sscaling @shdynasty Why would you need to be playing everything at an uncomfortable desk?

@Kilpers13 @Apathy4Marmite @garysingh34 @Swan_Ronson8475 Most PC games will work with a 360 controller (Unless Infinity Ward or Bioware have anything to do with them), Steam's 'Big Picture' mode is pretty much made for a TV and gamepad.

But assuming that you already know this, this is why I say that those who aren't already convinced will never be convinced.

@garysingh34 @Swan_Ronson8475 Unfortunately, if that's the attitude towards PC gaming that you already have then nothing is going to convince you.

@Swan_Ronson8475 @thezenhu @poopinpat Was just about to post that JackFrags video. 720p upscaled because the system can't handle large maps with 64 players at 1080p doesn't sound like high-end PC crushing performance to me. :)
