The words "verbal diarrhea" are not used to describe things that are incomprehensible. They're used to describe things that have too much talking.

MGS4 fits that description.

If you watched the cutscenes and were confused about any of the game's primary messages, you'd have to be pretty dense, considering how frequently they hit you over the head with them.

i dont think he didnt like it, just found the cutscenes overly long and a tad convaluted i can understand that...i dont agree with it...but i can understand someone sitting there saying "jesus shut up i just wanna play the damn game"

He was wrong in so many aspects, especially the gameplay. You don't have to stand up to shoot :|ChrnoTrigger

if your up against a wall and want to shoot over the top of the wall, you have to get off the wall and stand up to shoot thats what hes talking about

??? Gears 1 = 9.5, GTA = 10 and MGS = 10...how is .5 from those two games make it a joke?

its going to be hard because it has to compete with two 10s...but it has a chance because who says it wont get a 10 as well. I dont think it will because the story will probably leave something to be desired..but the first one was my favorite MP game this gen and still is...

as for the graphics...you know the graphics still have time to be improved right? you make it sound like they are cutting and pasting the first games graphics into the 2nd...so far the videos of gears 2 looks on par with most of the games out now...so i dont think graphics will be a factor...it will need a better story and have to try to do new things the 1st one didnt to avoid the "we have done this before" curse

If all games were either love it or hate it, then we would have no reason for the following scores: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. I thought Luigi's Mansion, for example, was a 5 out of 10. It was fun, but I could do without it. I don't love it or hate it.

yea i was going to say the same thing, i dont think there are many games that i either love or hate...it only seems like that cause this is SW and fanboys love/hate games depending on what system they own...but most games i either enjoy or feel mixed about...as for the topic...ive only played about an hour or so, but so far i love the cut-scenes and the gameplay itself is meh to me...but ive always felt that way about the MGS series

Well, here's a standard north american grading scale:

• A = 80 or higher
• B = 70–79
• C = 60–69
• D = 50–59
• F = 0–49

In New York A is 90-94, A+ being 95-99, B being an 80-84 with B+ being 85-89 and so on.

because every school in the US antyhing with an A in it A-, A, A+ means 90% or above (A-=90-92, A=93-96, A+=97-100)
