well i started on 6 and worked my way up to 10 part two and then skipped to 12, but i think either of them would be good, except 10 part 2, i think playing 10 helps with that one, id choose 10 though...i like thta one the most
pesonally i like ffx better than ffvii, mainly because i like the arena mosters, and penance (possibly the hardest boss ever in all the final fantasy games) it made the game more challenging and the freedom of choosing how to train different characters, like tidus could be a mage or you could turn anyone into a warrior... but i'd also like to mention ffx-2, im playing that atm, i like the way you can do what you want (im at 99% completion on it and cant find where imisssed the one percent) so thats why i chose ffx :p
