Seriously, I played and got addicted to a game called the Kingdom of Drakkar back about 10 years ago. It was one of the first MMPG's out there. Older than Ultima. Then I got bored with the same things that all MMPG's seem to suffer from - skill grinding and the same same areas ad naseum.
But now we have EQ2 and Wow.
EQ never did anything for me. I played for a few weeks and came to the conclusion that it was more of the same. But they seem to have made some big changes for 2.
And then we have Blizzard's baby. Blizzard, who has never released a bad game. Blizzard, who's worlds I love.
I gotta say, I'll probably be getting Wow. Maybe it Might be Pretty Good.

Is Anyone Else As Excited As I Am About Sid Meier's Pirates?!?
by Arkali on Comments
You have to understand - one of my first games was Pirates! Gold for the Mac. I loved that game. I've spent the last year telling my now husband that they need to do a remake. And then - then I saw the announcement. So here I sit, excited, ready, and praying and hoping that I'm not disappointed. *sigh*
I'm Really Hoping That "The Bard's Tale" Shines

I have really high hopes for this game. It's based on one of the very first RPG's to grace a PC, Cary Elwes as The Bard is just classic. But yet it got a whopping 6.7 for the console version. Ugh. Well, here's hoping that the PC version is much, much better.
