Does of anyone know of a USB stick formatted for FAT32 right out of the box? I do not want to reformat my current external hard drive and would just like to buy a new USB stick to run the Backup Utility on my PS3.
Yeah I downloaded it, but I'm not going to open up my PS3 for this just yet. If it doesn't fix itself by tonight, then I'll do it. Thanks for the effort in putting up the tut.
Actually, I'd wait 48 hours from Sony's last new statement. If they appear to have made no progress within 48 hours, you have legal grounds to open your PS3 and not void your warranty. In court, you just argue that Sony knew about the problem for four years, made no progress 48 hours after the problem first manifested, and any reasonable person would have opened their PS3 to fix it. There aren't too many courts who would rule against you in that case. If you only wait 24 hours from the glitch time, you seriously reduce your odds of winning in court. Are you an attorney or something? That makes no sense.
Ok so I haven;'t turned on my PS3 since Saturday morning. I got onto the PSN Store to see if the MLB demos were out yet. I haven't turned it on since. So should I not even turn on my PS3 until we hear it has been resolved? Am I likely safe since it has not been turned on in awhile?

I would just hold off until you hear another announcement. Better safe than sorry I guess...
The only thing that really annoys me is that they don't aren't keeping us updated. I mean, if I need to wait a week before I should even attempt to log on, let me know. I'd rather know and be like, "Well that sucks!" rather than just being left there with no info. just checking every 20minutes or so. I do expect some changes though once PSN is back up. Things that will allow offline games to work when PSN goes down.Tonx_92
For those that want us to stop complaining... NO! I pay premium prices, I expect premium service. That said, I've enjoyed playing Duck Hunt over the last 24 hours. Back to work...
