It isn´t poorly optimized,it isn´t perfect on any System. The game is from a really small indie-team and not finished. The first wasn´t better at the Release. And comparing it to a AAA-Product which is also sold for more then double the Price...
And: This is one of the worst Reviews worldwide by the way.
What do you mean by "poorly optimized XBox exclusives"?Does a The Last Guardian (which is a AAA-Title with 10 Years in Development) represent the whole PS4-Lineup as well?Just saying...
@rezagtx2017: Actually Epic is the only deveoloper without major Problems regading UE4.Almost all others are struggeling and even if you can find nice Demos of it,there are not many Games using it right now because of that.
@ohjtbehaaave: Its actually pretty simple: The Team worked with a new Engine with the same Team-size as the first one.It is a small Game by a indipendent developer,MS is just the Publisher. And a 30 Bucks game.
SSX3 is a AAA-Game from 2003,with a completely different focus - tecnical, gameplay and from a graphical standpoint. You could say that a game like SSX is a lot less work overall.
@uchihasilver: You forgot The Wonderful 101 and Legend of Korra by the way.Development startet after MGR. Who funded which Project is pretty much based on who published the games, but since they took 4 years a lot of money for pretty much nothing while releasing for others on time is pretty obvious. Scalebound got pushed back several times and even after 4 years they must have been damn far from finishing it.
The overworked PD Staff with their forced vacation due to the heavy workload isn´t hard to find.
By the way: If a developer promises to deliver something and doesn´t...well,there is someone to blame. Most people take the easy way: The always bad Publisher. Most of the time its just developers who promised something they can´t deliver. This Project was just obvious.I don´t even think even Ubisoft or EA,with all the different Teams, whould be 100% up to the task. With all the side projects I wonder how many people have been left to work on the game full time...and where the money went.
To keep the answer simple: Platinum Games is a Team of around 90 People. In the 4 years of Scalebound they released around 8-9 other games.A Assassins Creed needs around 3 Years for a Project with more then 4 times the People Platinum has got...and Platinum still had egnough people to push out several Games?I guess I know where MS money went...and it was not Scalebound.
And they dare to say that it is MS fault that their Teams are overworked?Right.. MS are not angels, thats for shure, but I don´t think they are to blame for Scalebounds failure.
@balders74: First: It wasn´t discribed as unlimited and second they changed it to the old model and third: You don´t need Loot Crates at all.Its just a Bonus.
@timmyp1982: Thats halfway right - all the damage carries over to the next form. And yes, they always evolve. After you died there is a bar that shows how far you came and the Marks are the transformations.
Not the worst game I´ve played but really flawed in almost every segment - even with a gun on my chest I whouldn´t hurt my reputation with a 10 out of 10.
If the MP whould have played half as good as the first I whould have prefered it...but it played like a different Team made it without knowing what the first made great together with some awful Ideas and much worse Map-design overall.
@alaannn: So I thought as well, since they still get free ads in the game, but the truth is: They want money or they don´t care (and yes, most of them don´t care),making it almost impossible to re-release some games without a deal.
