I picked up Uncharted 2 yesterday (it's amazing) and the case is wierd. For starters there is no PS3 logo or BluRay logo on the plastic case itselft, second the PS3 logo on the insert is across the top instead of on the side, and finally the spine does not have the red PS3 box on the top of it, instead a black PS3 logo. I picked my copy up at Best Buy and am wondering if everyone else has the same case? Is this a new thing Sony is doing for games from now on? It isn't a big deal, but seems a little odd to me.
I have played every Resident Evil since the original launched for the PSX, and can safely tell you that you do not need to know the entire back story to pick up RE5. The Resident Evil series doesn't end their game with cliff-hangers and pick back up in the next game, they just continue to provide different stories involving different characters and the umbrella corporation (although some characters return in different games). If you have played previous games you will catch things that a first time Resident Evil player will not, but those things are minor and if you don't know they arethere you will not miss anything.
If you really wanted to catch yourself up on what has heppened in previous gamesI am sure there are write ups on Wikipedia.
Thanks for all the info. I played a ton of SOCOM 1 and 2 back in the day, and am looking forward to picking up a copy next week.
Well I got my 60gb PS3 stolen when my house got broken into awhile back and since the 60gb is discontinued - I am looking for a new PS3. I just won 2 auctions on eBay: a 40 gb "slightly" used PS3 for $230 and a 80gb brand new PS3 for $300 (also it is local - so I can pick it up). Which would you choose and why? I'm not really trying to spend a lot on another system, but yeah I'm torn between both: used, 40gb, & cheaper vs. new, 80gb, and costlier. HELP! Oh and I know - I will get reported for not paying for one of them - but F*CK IT LOL!binhzino
I just went through the game thing this week. At Gamestop their used 40gb PS3's do not come with a dualshock 3 controller. So for me it was worth getting the 80gb new since I would have spend the $55 on a new controller anyway. Not to mention it will be scratch free, clean, and have a much bigger HDD.
So I finally picked up a PS3 this week!!! I am thinking about picking up SOCOM Confromtation, but all the reviews I have read talk about all the bugs the game was released with. I am wondering for those who still play the game if those bugs have been ironed out? I am also wondering for those who are still playing if there are still people online playing this game, or are the servers dead?
Thanks in advance.
