Someone should make a game with 1000 achievements, worth 1 point each... that would drive achievement junkies crazypaulokoenigkam
I believe you can only have a max of 50 achievements in a game.

[QUOTE="axeman87"]Just in. Halo was created as an RTS first.Finding most Statergy games more frustrating than fun, I haven't tried it, and probably never will. Being an FPS fan, there is no way it coud be better than the Halo series for me. Its probably just another basic Stratergy formula game of mine, build, upgrade, destroy with a Halo skin on it.
I wonder how popular the game would be if it just didnt have Halo written on it, and they change the sounds and skins on units to a standard looking military unit. ..Not very I'm guessing. Everything that made the Halo FPS series great are not applicable for this game type, so I do know...

It was originaly an RTS/Shooter. Bungie later dropped the RTS aspects of the game.
2 Questions: 1_ Who isnt getting this game
2_ i was watching a vid from the game it said that u get all the weapons available right from the start. Who also thinks that this is a bad idea and that it should be like Battlefield 2 and that every time u rank up u get 2 new weaps.

I do not think all the weapons being unlocked from the get go will be a problem. BF1942 did not have unlockable weapons, and this is an arcade title so it needs to be more of a pick up and play.
Hey guys thanks for your info. Due to Oblivion's rating and it's content, I think I'll just get Morrowind for the XBOX. Maybe I can see what game store workers say but, we'll see, but I'm pretty sure I'll just get Morrowind.
And for those of you wondering about the no "M" game thing and the whole "morals/standards" and whatever. I've been Mormon/LDS my entire life, but my parents were ok with "M" games and "R" movies and stuff. Then a few lessons at a scout camp a few years ago made me rethink some stuff, i don't know, but, it just made me decide to quite "M" game, "R" movies, and caffiene (which I know most likely sounds dumb to you guys), but, yeah, that's why.
And heck, there's supposedly a TES game coming for the PSP, hopefully it isn't just a rumor and hopefully it didn't or doesnt get cancelled, cuz that would be Tight playing TES on the go!

The 360 version of oblivion is only M rated becasue of the PC version. It really is a T rated game, an is much less brutal than most T rated games I've played. The game is so much better than Morrowind it would be a bumber for you to miss out on such a great game.
Check out the video review and some of the gameplay videos on gamespot, you'll see this is far far from an M rated game.
I have tried everything to try and make it stop disconnecting!!!! EVERYTHING!!! I wanna know all the reasons why XBL would discconect! Any answers are appreciated!!!xCowmanx
A little more info about your situation may help. It could be any number of reasons, and without a little more knowledge of your setup it will be hard to narrow it down. Here are a few things it could be...
Sometimes routers can cause disconnects, but you typically need to make changes in your router's settings.
When LIVE disconnects do you also loose internet access on your PC? If your internet provider is working in your area it may cause your internet to lag and in turn pop you off LIVE for a split second.
Are all your ethernet cables secure without any kinks, if a cable has a short it may drop your connection for a split second.
Has it worked well in the past?
You can not and will not recover your achievements without playing the game again.
If you play offline you can not transfer your account over live until you have logged back onto live. The reason for this is quite simple...
1) When you log onto Xbox LIVE the servers record your achievement progress. If you play offline the LIVE servers have no way of knowing you earned achievements.
2) When you log back onto LIVE the servers compair achievements and add the ones the are new.
3) If you then transfer your xbox id to a friend's console before logging back onto LIVE you are transfering the xbox id recorded in the LIVE servers NOT your id from your xbox.
4) Once the account has been transfered and you earn achievements from your friend's xbox over LIVE those achievements are updated on the servers.
5) If you then try to connect your offline profile to LIVE the servers see that some achievements you earned are missing from your offline profile and will void your pereviously offline profile.
Xbox LIVE does not combine achievements.
Oblivion came out shortly after the GTA:SA hot coffee mod problems, this was back when Jack Thompson was up in arms about everything video games.
The PC version of Oblivion allowed users to create modifications for the game to share with the public. Some kid make a nude skin mod for the game and Jack Thompson freaked out. To avoid any problems the ESRB quickly changed all versions of the game from a T rating (which the game diserves) to an M rating. The 360 game can not run these mods, and you can choose not to install the mod on the PC version if you choose to purchase it.
The game really should not be rated M. It shoud have kept the T rating it was released with.
