A Night At The Roxbury

I might as well put in a video

http://youtube.com/watch?v=bfu0xAkEVOQ&mode=related&search=

I went to go hang out with Charlie and Anthony last night, a rather fun experience. Shenanigans ensued. The night had a lot of moments where two people would start something really random and than laugh, while the third person would be confused and laugh at the awkwardness.
Anyways, Anthony brought Halo 3 and skate. over.

Halo 3 was exactly as I had predicted, if not worse. I really am not amused by the game, but it has made me have a yearning to go back and play Halo, which was actually a good game, before all the balderdash that Halo 3 is.

skate. was delicious. That said, it seems much more like a pick up and play and be amused for a while game, like Dead Rising, except that the fun doesn't ever seem to stop. I am looking forward to eventually getting my hands on a copy.

I also want The Orange Box.

Why Have You Forsaken Me?

I recently traded back the Oblivion I had to its previous owner and got back my Morrowind. First off let me say that I much prefer Morrowind to Oblivion. The game gives a great feel to the environment, the game isn't as much of reality meets fantasy and relegates purely on the fantasy.

I was so dang happy to get back into my quest! I finally decided to get into the story and such but then, disaster struck. I can now only play for about 30 minutes before either the disk errors or the game freezes. To make it worse the story line is so good!

Anyways I have been keeping busy with football almost over (our last game is next Wednesday and our record is 5-1 with one game canceled) nd my girlfriend, who I never really have talked about on here. Life has just been drifting by and I have just been feeling a melancholy over everything, like I might be a little depressed again.

Anyways keep it real guys.

Decisions

With an extremely limited income even thinking about purchasing something is almost taking the thought to far, or at least on my part ;). I honestly have no idea on how I could possibly plan on making money, I have a conviction to get several items but I find it impossible to get the cashola~cola necessary for such transactions. I already am a habitual Penny-Pincher but with $55 in my wallet and no way to get any more money I don't know what to do anymore.

I could always whore myself out....

With so much available on the horizon I feel like I might miss out on everything, I mean for God's sake it's October! I feel like a bad person for not having my priorities in order.

God, I feel like this was written horribly.

The Loudest Thunder Storm EVER!

This is yet another nonsensical blog, but it is really striking me. It has been thunder storming for the last.... twelve hours or so. The storm seemed usual, but at about 5 A.M. (an hour after I went to sleep) it started to get.... violent. The rain stayed the same, fluxing from soft to heavy, but seriously.... OMG... until about 10 A.M. the lightning was possibly the worst of any storm I will ever witness, not to say that the bolts wee vicious, in fact all I saw was the flash, not the fork, but every bolt rattled the house and sounded like a bomb, similar to beening within five hundred feet of the bang.

Well... It doesn't look like it is dying down, I should be lucky to find no: electrical, home, or landscaping  damage.

I guess I'll just light up another cone and move along.

Chainsaw Clowns are not fun People

How much more can I elaborate this? They just tend to freak me out.

DeadRising is a fun game, but man the bosses and such are actually rather annoyingly hard. The learning curve is just a little odd.

EarthBound or Earth ound rather

I have been having a serious urge to start my way through that game again, but considering when I last played it I was level 40-something in the pyramids, when I took the cartridge out and it erased all of the data.... yeah.

I would much rather get through Secret of Mana, and some of the Playstation games I would like to play (I.E. Final Fantasy Tactics, FInal Fantasy 7, Resident Evil 2, etc.) if I had my controller. I also want to go out and buy skate. but that seems like a bad idea, considering I am low on the Cashola-Cola

P.S. try the Lafitte quiz, find where I got the inside jokes from.

*EDIT*

I beat Doom3 today, the bosses were almost too easy, some parts of the game were VERY challendging, Most of it disturbing, suprisingly I only jumped about 10 times. Overall it was greatly enjoyable.

Whats the Difference Between Nerds and Jocks Anyways?

Thinking back on Polsci's new blog today, I really felt insulted, especially considering I was feeling the some pre determined biases and viewing things in my own demented way.

The idea of having to put up with lines of total [rectums] insulting you for having an interest or a hobby is crap. My ideas should be respected right? Can I not be an individual? I found myself thinking "Where do these insults come from?" or on the other hand, "Who do these insults come from?" (Now here's the moment where I could easily turn this into a hatred rant, get flagged for flamming or some other subjective internet lingo that could be shot at me from any number of mods who disagree, or I could go the more intelligent way with this and stay neutral and present my point.)

I find myself as a person to be inbetween interests, hobbies, friends, and, well...uh... clicks. I am a nerd at heart, who plays sports like a jock would but I also have a lot of other interests going in other directions, but lets stay on topic here, shall we. More and more recently, in the last couple of years at more than ever before, I noticed how silly sports actually are. Sure they do some good things, which I have tried to keep for myself, these things, to name a few, are: staying in physical shape, A.K.A. being healthy; forming relationship with other people; building strong foundations of  leadership, courage, will power, and many other things; and, most importantly, having some fun. But to really think about sports in another way I, and possibly we if I can present myself well enough, like to see the activity of watching athletic events is really, just sad.

Billions, and that may not even be a hyperbole, are spent each year to watch grown men play games. These people who are doing this get paid more than school teachers, is this really what people should be showing their kids, to look up to the athlete above an education!? Can you really blame this though, because the people found most fascinated, and actually quite obsessed, more likely most cases  it is obsession,  are actually the adults. Should we really care that much about some guy running a fabulous three feet that we form rivalries and hatred and wager money? What type of people are we as a society?

Instead of going and watching people play, or forming an imaginary team to play for me, I choose to play video games and keep a harmony. I find it almost, at least from my point of view, that I am one of the few who stands above immaturity, but wait there just a second, why am I being called immature because I don't obsess over sports? Being that my bias is stated I can, although it won't be nearly as strongly believed as before, is that I have nothing against people who like sports, rather the fact that it is taken to far, just like it is right to talk about some one who can't get enough of WoW.

Like I said earlier though, what is the real difference between a "nerd" and a "jock"? The only difference I can find is a difference in how they wish to entertain themselves, but who is more likely to call you immature for playing your video games, or to exclude you for playing your D&D, or trading your Magic: The Gathering cards, it isn't anyone else who has a similar interest, it tends to be the other immaturity, the person who can obsess with how some guy in a jersey can throw a football. Or should we rather call an immaturity an obsession, or in our case, a hobby.

*I did not mean to offend anyone when I wrote this, I was just stating my mind on the matter. If I did insult anyone I will apologize here and now. I could have taken this topic much further but I thought my point well enough presented and I was satisfied*

Doom 3

finally nailed down a copy for myself, now lets name off the rest of the goodies on the list

in chronological order:

new headset
Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earht
skate.
Assassin's creed
Mass Effect

Gods I Beseach Thee!

Fine, I'll admit it, I don't know the meaning of the heading, although I know somewhat of its context usage, and I fear I missed that by a long shot.

Long story short, our school (mine and Lafitte's) was hit by lightning early this morn, and so the day was canceled for lack of power, and with that so were practices.

On the Search for Lovecratian Literature yet Again.

my next target: A Shadow over Innsmouth. Presumeably this is the inspiration for the movie Dagon and also the inspiration for the quest before named in Eldar Scrolls.

Anyways as soon as I can I will try to get myself: a Playstation controller, Call of Cthulhu (the game), and Doom 3.
