Combat being boring or provide nothing new , games being way more about its open world than anything else ( story , lore , fantasy , memorable characters etc ) has nothing to do with nostalgia. Or you deny that the best FF games in the series were the oldschool titles for a reason ?

Besides i mentioned older FF games mainly for their FANTASY overall and the whole lore/world settings. I didnt say they were epicly good in everything.

If you get annoyed with my opinion is your problem. If my opinion will be on point or not we will see after 50 reviews on metacritic.

Sorry to tell this to the fans and all but ...

FF15 looks and plays like a mediocre open world game that gives too much emphasis on world itself rather than the RPG elements , story and fantasy in the world like in the past titles . If this has mediocre RPG elements , this fcombat system which gets old very fast , the world that looks uninspired and flat ... i dont know.

The game up till now looks underwhelming to me big time. I know we havent seen much , just my opinion of what ive saw up till now.

I miss the old days of really great FF titles like 5-6-7-9-10 that all they had to do was about fantasy worlds , memorable characters and great stories. Nowdays game developers trying very hard to follow trends and formulas that seem to be a success on other titles out there and forgetting the most crucial things let alone where they coming from AKA = what made FF series a success to begin with.

And the westernization of Japanese oriented games continues ... and the result im afraid might not be the big , fat AAA Final Fantasy everyone is dreaming off the last decade. This is my opinion for now ...

I mean i could understand a 6 but a 4 and so many criticism about how bad it was ... Yeah , its wasnt great , hell lets say for the sake of discussion it wasnt even good. 4/10 means was utter garbage , lower than that and it could have been one of the worst movies of all time.

Hell , no way. If i liked it as a fan of the warcraft games as much as friends that had ZERO knowledge , literally ZERO, about Warcraft games/lore then means movie was a DECENT movie at worse case scenario. Means a 6/10 in my books

They could have make the movie longer to explain things better for providing a better and more emotional connection to the characters. Thats one of the things i didnt like among some other pace issues and all. It wasnt great but .. utter shit ? Come on !! I dont get what people thinking.

@Barighm: I agree. I also think that FULL CGI would do the trick way better for this kind of movie.

I dont know what else critics shouldve seen from a video game adaptation. The movie had it all , by all means not the greatest execution and all but damn ... 4/10 ? Nah , movie was fine ... Even my girlfriend that had ZERO knowledge about warcraft in general liked it , as an ex-hardcore WOW gamer i liked it. 6-7/10 easily.
