'.. implied sexual violence and drug use related to player incentive'. Huh? The sexual violence (as they call it) is IMPLIED and drug use, well that's what 18+ is there. And heck, it's Saints Row, a game where nothing is serious and everything is over the top.
Donald McDonald should be banned because his name confuses everyone with Ronald McDonald. And I think the board believes that Saints Row is a managerial simulation.
It's all and good however I still want a game where the storyline (and sidequests) are all inter-related and captures my interest. Giving an example, I never played Thief before however I just finished it and man that game oozed with atmosphere - yeah they are different genres however comparing that to Skyrim, wonderful to look at however didn't suck me in like what Thief has done. I'm sure there's many more examples though.
I hope they get rid of all shooting elements for Faith - Faith is a runner and that's what I want to do, escape, hide and leap like no one can. Effective disarming would be cool (as the first one was quite difficult at times).
@ @turtlethetaffer - good review there for Dark Souls.
I thought Dark Souls is just being difficult for the sake of being difficult - e.g. the checkpoint saves right in the middle of an area is not really a good idea. And what you said about death as in it's a matter of when not if', yep that's about right. Frankly I couldn't care less for death as it was 'expected' thus my feelings towards my character was practically zero.
You also mentioned about the sense of achievement when defeating a boss; I felt the opposite as it was more of a probability. And about the music, yep it was cheesy.
But again, good review there as you provided some really good examples and got me thinking.
