1) Ratchet

2) Uncharted

I'd be hesitant about AC. Rent it first. It's very buggy, with some serious framerate problems. I'd just ahead get the two games made by two of the best game developers out there. Ratchet and Uncharted.

I installed the patch. I'm still getting random crashes and odd visual artifacts. I'm done playing the game. I'll get to a certain point sometimes and I'll hear the "Accessing more Recent Memory", all the sudden, I'll get a "This disc can't be read message". Even though my disc is shiney and flawless. I can't be bothered with it anymore. Losing even 10 minutes of progress chronically is too annoying and ruins my experience. I've never had any other PS3 game crash on me. Oh well, uncharted and ratchet are awesome. I'll keep playing those. IMHO, games like Uncharted and Ratchet are madeby skilled professionals where it seems like companies like Ubisoft have pretty creative ideas but not that gifted of a programming team. Oh well. Maybe next year Ubisoft.

If that doesn't convince you, then whatever. These "convince me" posts are rediculous. Herd conformists are amusing.

Total agreement with TC. This game is freakin' awesome. This and Ratchet are my 2 favorite games on the ps3 right now. Naughty Dog and Insomniac, go figure. We can always expect games that push the hardware and look great to come from those 2 companies.

neither. I have no idea why anyone would spend all day playing a video game about a half-wit gangster.

If that's a fun time, then how about some other games:

Epilepsy-Damashi

World of Wheelchairs

Multiple Sclerosis Hypnosis HD

Captain Tourettes and the Autistic 4.

Syndrome of a Down

AIDS Quest

Skid Row

-----

Wow, I'll be rich!!!

My "A" list.

Resistance - I still play it. I think it's a great game single player (and you can play the single player mission in co-op mode)

Ratchet & Clank - Very awesome. Still playing it. Graphics, gameplay, hell yeah.

Uncharted - Love the graphics and the gameplay. The taking cover stuff takes some getting used to but it's a very awesome game. I'm playing it again.

Rock Band - If you're not into these types of games, don't bother, but it's amazingly fun if you like music games.

My "B" list.

Folklore - I thought this game was awesome.

Virtua Fighter - Fun fighting game

Motorstorm - I know you have this one. This is almost in my C list, but there are some good redeeming qualities.

My "C" list.

Assassin's Creed - Almost "D" list. If you can get over the bugs and the crappy frame-rate, and somewhat sloppy controls, there is a pretty good game in there.

Warhawk - Contrary to others, this wasn't really my favorite game in the whole world, but it is very fun in short bursts.

ifonline is a big consideration for best value then go with Resistance or COD4. My personal preference is Resistance. Technically I feel it's a better multiplayer experience. But, it's opinion, so take with a grain of salt.

If you don't care too much about online, then I suggest Ratchet, Uncharted or Asassins Creed. All three games give you MANY reasons to play over and over again. The most being Ratchet. I'm being serious, I'm still playing Ratchet because I haven't unlocked every skillpoint or collected all the secrets yet. I'm really trying hard to find the last shard to make the ultraweapon but haven't found it yet :).

NFS is kinda tired now. It's been going down the toilet ever since they started getting all "Fast n' Furious Trendy Idiot Actor"-ish. Midnight Club is teetering on the edge but I think it will be fine. My heart will wait flutteringly for GT, where you actually race cars with realistic physics rather than futz around with a crappy drifter for "streetcred"

This game is just about the worst game I've played all year. I rented it thankfully.
