Is keeping it plugged in not a option? Cause even with a better battery, you'll get maybe another hour or so depending on the workload.
Psus have nothing to do with cpu temps unless its on fire. whats your ambient temps and load temps? Cause idle temps dont really mean anything.Edit: o wait I forgot, It could be your psu blowing hot air on your cpu, but that doesnt have anything to do with wattages.
Why get two cards right off the bat? Use that money and get a stronger single gpu, so you have the option of adding another down the line.
[QUOTE="GTR12"][QUOTE="the_jeuice"]Okay, where can I find what power supply I have?the_jeuiceOpen your case and look at the big fat thing with a sticker. If its less than 500watt, get a 6870 or GTX460.yeah, it's 250watt, so how well will a 6870 run?250w is not enough for a 6870, your gonna need a new psu for it.
You miss a big point between the high end cards of last gen. The 5870 had lower power draw and heat output then the 480 which was a big plus, and the 5870 is still beast.
