There is a lot of new footage

Also, it goes into more detail about each aspect of the game!

Lol no one said that companies shouldn't try To make as much profit as possible while spending as little. Hear me out, people are going to get tired of the formula eventually, and the fact that Activision isn't trying anything new will IMO bite their backs later on. Plus, wouldn't you like it if the company improved the games graphics and introduce some new features?

The emphasis s not on graphics, it's the fact that if you already have such a successful game that sells billions (if it wasn't fun for most it wouldn't be so blockbuster), shouldn't you shell out the resources required to push the envelope to bring the game to the next level and blOw bf3 out the water? Activation's strategy to milk this franchise might work well now but imagine if they had the same games that actually innovated more and have better support, the longevity of he games will be much lOnger

I don't care that much about graphics, but to have such a big budget game that almost everyone knows about have almost no technological advancements is pretty shocking. Anyways that's just my 2 cents. Granted, the gamplay will be solid, but it feels like 'been there, done that'. I seriously feel kinda doubtful about both Cod and Bf3, tbh. LOoking forward to the next Valve game though

The graphics, looks pretty mediocre. I don't see how people think it looks amazing, the engine is really showing it's age. I might've been impressed when cod 4 came out, but this is pretty disappointing, for a pc game at the very least

I think a lot of people are forgetting how horrible some of the things were in Battlefield 2. For instance: Insane range of claymores, nade spam, dolphin diving, griefing over aircrafts and helicopters, weapon handling (IMO), terrible netcode, and probably a lot of other things I am forgetting. If it weren't for some of the awesome features that made this game amazing, I trust more people would rant on about these things.

People will rant on COD no matter what, because of the popularity it has generated. However, it should be noted that while COD is not really any worse (IMO) over the past 3-4 years, it offers no innovation whatsoever. I believe most people are just tired of Activision mashing out the same game over and over again each year with a different skin. Added to that, terrible support (MW2), terrible ports (Black Ops) and a whole host of other issues plague the game.

This trailer reminds me a lot more of Modern Warfare (COD4) rather than MW2, judging from the color palette, overall mood, and several of the vehicles and weapons

I think people are getting a bit to caught up in the hype for Battlefield 3. I am a diehard Battlefield fan, but I am gonna hold my breath for now since I know EA isn't some "white knight" or whatever. Furthermore, if BF3 gameplay is anyway similar to its predecessors, then it will in no way win over the COD fans because of its slower gameplay and addition of vehicles.

Why is everyone so upset here? If you don't like COD then don't buy it. It's kind of sad how people have to spew such nonsense and hate over a series which quite frankly wouldn't be so popular if people didn't make such a big deal out of it. At the end of the day if the game is good and you have fun with it nothing else matters

Maybe if they actually optimised their games cough *GTA* cough, they would have more sales on PC and it would be justified

[QUOTE="BLUBBBER"]

In this day and age, I just don't see why ANYONE, unless you're a really loyal fan of a particular series, buying a MMO with a subscription fee on day one which equates to about $65-75. Especially with the amount of MMOs that are just plain garbage every year, they don't deserve my money, or my time for that matter. Yes, in the case of WOW, if I actually cared, I would pay all that money on day one and I will continue to pay the subscription fee as long as I enjoy it, but the publishers are really giving no incentive at all for people to buy these type of games on release date. They're most probably gonna have to go free to play anyway, just look at APB, Champions Online, or LOTR.

In the case of Bioware's SWTOR, I believe they're gonna do pretty well at first, but die out just like the rest. Unless there is something mindblowing about it, and not just sugar coating and wild exagerations by hardcore Star Wars fans (which I believe is to be the main reason why it's so popular in the first place), it will fade out just like the rest.

I am personally putting my money on Guild Wars 2

FelipeInside

Like the first MMO to concentrate on bringing STORY to the MMO scene instead of grinding...???

Meh. I'll probably try out a trial first before I actually make any decisions to buy it. Not really impressed by any of the videos so far, to be perfectly honest.
