I still consistantly die to Seth (I might beat him 1 out of 10 tries on difficulties higher than easy)...so that puts me around 10ish on the challenges since he's the last guy you fight.

Leaning towards no... It appears as though the game will contain about as many fighters as the NES version but still cost as much as a full game. Without the content there I can't justify the purchase. Of course all the details haven't been released yet so things may change.

I'm about half way through the game, but so far it is very fun with only minor flaws.

I must say I find the story line to be very uninteresting compared to RE4, but it is not fair to rate it until I actually beat the game. If anything, to me it starts off slowly where RE4 got right into it with Leon's injection.

Gameplay is great, only one section of the game I've disliked so far and that is the El Giante (sp) boss because it was completely stationary and rather long.

I really dislike some aspects of inventory management. Namely if you have a green herb in your inventory and no slots open and you come across a red herb...you cannot simply combine them unless you perminantly discard something. The game would highly benefit from a drop item feature (which would have the item slowly fade away if not picked up). Such a silly omission hurts the experience but by no means ruins the game. I would have also liked to see the vest not eat up your inventory slot since you wear it.

While its not fair to give a proper review until I've explored everything, the game is very fun and addictive thus far...It'll need to be good enough to want me to play over and over again like RE4 to justify its cost. Since $60.00 for 10 hours of gameplay wont do it for me.

If I had to give a score it would be as follows with lots of potential to improve as I put more time into it:

Graphics: /9.5 : beautiful game, hence why it wasn't released on the wii.

Gameplay /9.5 : Extremely fun so far on first play through with very few sluggish areas

Originality /3 : Thus far almost everything feels taken from RE4 and simply upgraded on. This is more of a glorified expansion than a sequel so far. Exception being the co-op mode which is what justifies the score.

Innovation /5 : Very nicely executed areas but again, not a lot we haven't seen from the last installment of the game outside of a co-op experience

Sound /8 : Very nicely done, nothing really stands out yet, but it in no way hurts the experience thus far which is what really matters.

I agree that it is both. I've yet to see any expanded product feel as though it is worth its money. However, you're never forced to purchase these and you'd only buy them if you truly enjoy the game itself, making DLC a good thing for hardcore gamers.

The most obvious case of this I feel is with the pricing of Rock Band music. Rock Band 2 has something like 80 tracks and costs about $60 bucks. That works out to roughly 75 cents per song. To buy 80 downloadable and effectively double your games length the songs would likely run $2.00 x 80 = $160.00. .

DLC is a good thing but the content vs cost simply isn't there yet.

I borrowed the game from a friend recently with pretty low expectations considering I own Call of Duty 4 and expected that to be better in every way.

It took a while to get into Resistance, the concept of being able to see bullets and dodge them made the game immediately feel old and poor. However, I found myself really getting into the game after the first 5 or so missions. In the end it was a really good experience and I understand why it got such a good score. Considering its a cheap PS3 game now, I'd say it is totally worth a purchase/rent.

Resident Evil 5 is a huge loss considering the greatness of RE4.

Diablo 3, since I don't want to buy a new computer in order to play that.

Calibur shooters since the wii does them better than other consoles in my opinion. I'd like to see games akin to Half-Life2, Bioshock 2, etc run on wii taking the necessary graphical hitch required to do so.

I'd love to see more in the way of RPG's like Tales of Symponia or Final Fantasy (when I say that I mean epic RPG's like FF13 but obviously with the graphical element cut back big time in order to run on wii)

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.

Unfortunately beyond that, there isn't anything else this year that even peaks my interest. Not to say it'll be a bad year given how great they started, but it seems all the bigs games this holiday season will be on other consoles.

For me the console is very 'pick up and play'. I'll use it, but typically for no more than 30 minutes gaming sessions.

This is the case for games like Mario Kart Wii, and Mario Galaxy, both of which I've yet to beat.

I'd like to see more story driven or time demanding games like Zelda or Metroid Prime 3 to be released. The system has been slowly losing its appeal as time goes on in my opinion. Personally, the next Tales of Symphonia game should go a long way, but that's one of very few games of its type to be released.

Metroid Prime 3 and Zelda TP are the only two games that I've had multiple play throughs on so far for wii. Of the two, I've played through Metroid Prime three times and Zelda twice.

Resident Evil 5

Rock Band

Final Fantasy 13

Granted most of the games I wanted were cross platform, I like PS3 for its free online. I got the Devil May Cry 4 pack with purchase and that game turned out to be awesome as well.
